2011 was a great year — 5 years ago
Medium bodied, rich and juicy for a Valtellina. Savory & mineral, dried roses, cherries, prune, tobacco, some oak, anise. From Flatiron Wines. — 6 years ago
Really amazing in-region wine. Reminded me slightly of an Amarone Nice balance and big bold wine. — 7 years ago
Crazy value - perfectly aged and ready to go alpine nebbiolo. Compared to Barbaresco, add an extra hit of roses, ease back on the tannins and slip in a touch of balsamic, and you've got something that'll kill it with any roast meat or rich pasta dish. — 9 years ago
Very smooth finish, fruity with a bit of vanilla — 10 years ago
2010 complex flavors of dried cherry, tobacco, herbs and spices. — 10 years ago
Holy moly! I won't forget this Nebbiolo! — 12 years ago
Bright ruby red color with a moderate transparency. The nose reveals fresh and fruity aromas of berries with very clean and pleasing aromas that starts with hints of cherry, currant and strawberry followed by scents of rose and violet. In the mouth the taste is fresh and dry, denoting a wine with a light but interesting body. — 10 months ago
2020/5/24 with grilled ribeye, eringi with fennel, tarragon and chives, whitebait aglio olio and radicchio salad. This had a wonderful balance of taut structure and fruit intensity, while still remaining light and translucent. That, with the red fruit and spice nose, gave it an almost Burgundian feel - it was also quite distinct from the other Fay bottles. — 5 years ago
Light just like I like it — 6 years ago

Nebbiolo blended with Merlot. This 2009 is just starting to mature...pubescent wine? Very bright red fruits followed by something smoky and interesting Happy #valentines — 10 years ago
I’ll stand by my June 24, 2021 rating. Consistently great. — 3 years ago
Rutabaga and charcoal and hen of the woods and cherry garcia. Yeah there is a little VA but it’s not intrusive. Maybe more wild than some of their other stuff but still that mountain freshness — 4 years ago
Delish, bold red from up north. Purchased on our Lago di Como trip. — 6 years ago
Not as intense as a Barolo; I would say more balanced. Great with earthy food. — 6 years ago
Inferno showing deeper, richer, smokier tobacco notes. While Sassella showing the more tea like herbal, orange, amaro , chocolate notes — 8 years ago
the best wine made in my home valley. It uses the same process as Amarone but it is smoother and fresher without loosing complex structure and strong cherry and caramel — 9 years ago
Surprisingly light and elegant — 9 years ago

Beautiful, engaging nose. Full bloom, pink & red roses, cherry hard candy, layered, soft spice, dark cherries, strawberries, raspberries, light herbal notes, hint of bubble gum.
Pretty, ripe, juicy palate. Fruits are light; raspberries, cherries, strawberries and blackberries & black raspberry hues. Wet river stone, dry limestone powder, more pronounced dark, dry tannins, dry herbs, dark spice with some heat, light, dry tobacco notes, barrel dust, bright red & pink roses, magnificent acidity with a very pleasant elegant, polished finish that lands on spice and lasts 90 seconds.
Really good value and one to pick up. — 8 months ago
