Too young. Promising. — 11 years ago
Drank with my buddies Geoff and Danny. It's amazing. Here is the thing when drinking next to a 70 R Mondavi CS you really see the Bordeaux wooly aromatic thing. Napa is so clean and offering of florals and fruits, yet the Bordeaux had the forest floor and wooly thing. Both awesome but night and day. — 12 years ago
Still young, but this is drinking well with an hour in the decanter. The dusty, smoky nose is followed by dark fruit, leather, forest floor, and some wood spice. The tannins are still perky, so it works best with food for now. Wish I had more to drink over the next 10 years. — 11 years ago
Showing well, mushrooom and forest floor on the nose, beautiful balance and structure on the palate.. — 11 years ago
In perfect drinking condition, excellent. Forest floor, iron, the smell of a cracked cacao bar, savory spice and believe it or not a tad of blue cheese. Good palate intensity that is precise and controlled, medium to fine tannins caress the haunting dried fruit and savory long and fresh finish. #bluesheeseinmywinearoma #stestephe #lafonrochet — 12 years ago
Everything great Bordeaux should be. Cork crumbled in the Durand but first sniff and I knew it was on. Waves of saddle leather, tobacco, cedar, forrest floor and cherries. The wine was intense but more feminine than I expected, a great balance. Truly one of the best and most memorable bottles I've had the last few years. This is what drinking wine is all about, experiences that shake you to your core. — 11 years ago
Classic Bordeaux notes of roasted coffee, tobacco leaf, red currants, and forest floor. The palate is well well balanced with well integrated medium+ tannin and decent acidity, esp. for a 2003. Drink now or hold 10-15 years. — 12 years ago

Wonderfully "classic" Burgundian nose of mushroom and forest floor. Nice structure with some decent grip. I'd let it sit for a while longer, but it's still yummy. — 11 years ago
