Some sniffs are super funky, some are phenomenal. Like nasty swamp funk on vinyl. If it's good to you, it's good for you. — 10 years ago

Tasted at the winery. Still a baby- tanic, with good potential — 7 years ago
Very interesting glass to follow up to the valentini. Skin contact gives it weight and texture. Medium to full bodied. Tasty — 8 years ago
Probably should've had this before the valentini. So cut and clean that it felt a bit small by contrast. But quite enjoyable nonetheless. — 8 years ago
One for the naysayers; "contiene solfiti non aggiunti." Flawless and not even at its peak. Black fruit, chewy tannins, clarity, length and definition. This portends a new benchmark for young Montepulciano. *valentini* *pepe* The past is the future, and future vintages from Rabasco will rank in the top tier. Jus' sayin' — 9 years ago
masciarelli and valentini - the two supreme abruzzo vineries everybody else in the region has to compete with. for a reason i may add!
powerful and yet charming red, nose reminds me slightly of amarone though 2006 here has certainly less oxidative touch and feel than the 2004, fantastic fresh nose, hints of animalic attitude with impressive lenght. always underrated.
somehow libournais-esk, tannins are a bed of silk!
love it. — 10 years ago
Valentini watch your back. Stunning rich and savory. — 11 years ago
First Emidio Pepe experience and it was a game changer. This was better than the Valentini I had a few months ago, but that's just my opinion. Honeycomb, bright tree fruit, mushrooms, almonds, hazelnuts, white balsamic, and bright acidity. Don't be confused by it being trebbiano. It isn't trebbiano toscana, it's an entirely different animal called trebbiano abruzzese that is actually complex and age worthy. This is what wine is meant to be! — 8 years ago
Tanto basta ❤️ — 10 years ago
