Slight sweet but tannin uptick, mouthfeel slight bite more than Marietta lot 4, smooth clean, Gouda smell, bend of candy sugar that detracts — 8 years ago
A really nice pinot. After a corked 2006 Selyem Vista Verde, this was the next on deck. "Dan, where did you get this?" :shoulder shrug: ....sigh...well, we might as well drink it!!!!!. The nose is a little more youthful than the palate. The nose has a little bit of basil and raspberry but appears to be more of a youthful raspberry. On the palate, this is where the raspberry shows a little bit more age. Herbal notes go more to a rosemary than basil. A slightly noticeable uptick in acidity moving to the finish. Really no knowledge of this producer at all, so I was extremely intrigued by this Pinot. At 8 years of age, it probably drinks like 5 years old. Still has a little bit of youthfulness on the finish, so I would like to see where this one is in a few years. — 7 years ago
Delicious! Syrah's 'grandparent', which shows some strikingly similar qualities. Black pepper on the nose, good length and a nice high acid uptick in the finish. Quaffable! — 9 years ago

The Tardive really is an uptick in depth though this is such kick ass Beaujolais I’ve always felt it deserves its own category (Kick A- Beaujo). Black cherries, but seriously black, oodles of fruit but it’s the minerality & acid that sets it apart, along w the depth. Medium bodied, taut( not tight somehow). Ribena with cracked black pepper nose. Blind tasting w friends but guessed to be every region but Beaujo. If I remember the history right, this is more of a Moulin Vent property, so makes some sense it has such gravitas- which is what it is, a joyous wine with gravitas. Dressner importer. Oh, and it’s ok to try now, it’s not infanticide. 25$ on sale- that’s just stupid. — 6 years ago
Color of egg white. Except some oaky nose, nose is essentially gone while taste survives. Taste is still quite refreshing, with light but balance mix of acidity, sweetness, honey, and spicy oak. What a pity as she has peaked maybe 5 or 10 yrs ago. After breathing, the nose makes a comeback with flowering and gasoline note, the taste also becomes fuller. As a result, I have uptick my scoring quite a bit. — 7 years ago
A noticeable uptick in quality from the recent bottles of Brouilly I've had. Initial notes was a pristine cranberry. After hour or so open, perfume, wild flowers, raspberry/strawberry. Completely consistent in palate. Mouthfeel is silky in mid, with that cranberry coming back in the acid streak on finish. Some rose petal as you rebreathe. Very beautiful wine. — 11 years ago

Fruity/bourbon on the nose but a subdued jamminess in taste, with an uptick in peppery tannins and a dry/oaky/boozy finish — 5 years ago
