Fruity in a good way. Smooth with no aftertaste. Perfect amount of dryness for me — 9 years ago
An aromatic-Cab lover's dream. Eucalyptus, tobacco, dark dark fruits, and well integrated oak. The palate matches, and the mouthfeel feels like any Napa Cab of high pedigree. — 9 years ago
V12. Dusty white pepper and raspberry bouquet. Jammy, peppery fruit mash. Zingy, earthy finish. Big flavors, nice. — 9 years ago
One hour decant. Consumed slowly over three hours. This is still integrating and was nothing short of spectacular. Drink now or wait, but stellar. — 10 years ago
2008, A great Bordeaux that needs more time to reach its peak. It was decanted a bit before sipping but not enough. The wine had a deep Bordeaux color, the nose is full of black current, chocolate , coffee and smokey earth, it has a full body with firm tannin that needs to open up and will soften with time, long dry finish. My score 90+, drink 2016-2022 — 10 years ago
Upper Ridge Malbec. Berry, leather, and just a hint of foot. Very nice. — 11 years ago

Another 4th Friday for the books! What a variety this month!
At 24yrs old, it’s incredible how this drinks. Obviously past its prime, but by no means a lost bottle. Had never heard of this vineyard. Butterscotch, salted popcorn kernels, and cornbread note too. Still retaining some nice acidity! — 8 years ago
Bursting with raspberry but needs time — 9 years ago

One of the top Japanese sommeliers recommended me to bring to this home party with my best friends. BIO!! Goes well with either red or white meat. — 9 years ago
Not a common grape especially from here in BC, Canada...An Austrian variety grape that yields a rich full.body taste...balanced acidity and tannins aromas od spiciness and dark fruit berries...accents of vanilla and paired beautifully as recommended with Brie cheese that I purchased from the .shop...yes a winery and creamery at the same location. What a better way to showcase and taste both facets of UPPER BENCH. The wine paired beautifully with butterflied stuffed chicken beast with Upper bench brie and herbs. ...wild rice on the side and grilled asparagus.!!!!...Need more!!!!😄 A young wine that I am sure would prove to be even better with a prolonged stint in the wine cellar. — 9 years ago
Very nice- vanilla and red cherries. — 10 years ago
Fruity with balanced acidity. — 10 years ago
Apparently last vintage from these vines. Nice one, too, water chestnut, quinine, walnut kernel when warms , acid in check, honey, apples. Be fun to see in 5 years — 11 years ago
Nice, just a bit sweet $8.50 Costco — 13 years ago
Absolutely delicious. Prefect pair for grilled pork, similar to a dryer Zinfandel. Reasonably full bodied but not so big as to demand a big steak. — 8 years ago
