Big, boisterous somewhat wild and untamed nose of wild berries, some sour cherrie, mashed flowers and some sweet violets. Great nose albeit needs 20 minutes to integrate. Terrific freshness and acidity with ample sweetness and detail. Nice structure that suggests 3/5 years this could improve. Lovely wine and Raquillet is a master of Mercurey. — 8 years ago

Explosive sour cherry, a Cab Franc that's wild at heart and untamed after twelve years. — 9 years ago
Brambly red berry fruits. High acid and untamed, a wild expression of #pinotnoir #nzwine — 9 years ago
Balanced, smooth, interesting. — 9 years ago
Just had a chance to enjoy this young (2013) wine again six months after the first time, it's a different wine, so smoothed out, almost soft, more integrated and harmonious, a nice lesson for me to give a wine some time for it's true character to become revealed before feeling like I understand it (I loved it before, but it seemed more untamed and raw, which I didn't attribute to its age as much as I should have) — 10 years ago

Yes yes yes! Wild and untamed! Lots of "oak" on nose, incense like, wild strawberry and raspberry. — 13 years ago
Young, shows the vintage from the grenache but the extra dollop of SM is helping this out. I like the dark, brooding black/blue fruit component, a little sexy. Loads of spices across the board. Some astringent tannins need to furl out, there’s some compartmentalization going on structurally that needs resolve for that ultimate CNDP hedonism train but for now I like the muscles it brings to the table. Raw power and untamed, perfect match to unapologetically rich/rustic food with the same personality. — 8 years ago
Untamed and feral — 8 years ago
Hard to pick a fave red from Grosjean but this is up there...pale red with thrilling high altitude aromatics and acidity, juicy ripe cherry, dried flowers and herbs, animal and spices. Not quite rustic but definitely alive and untamed. Makes me dearly want to visit this rugged part of Italy — 8 years ago
Wild and untamed with notes of lime curd, green apple, freshly cut grass — 9 years ago
doesn't have the drop dead gorgeous polish of a fine burgundy, or even a cote rotie in its prime, but there's something about this that gets in your blood -- a rawness in the way the chewy tannin is still not quite integrated and the deep utter darkness of the nose.... like a long bike ride through the backwood mountains of west virginia... untamed, wild — 9 years ago
The king of #QPR Picked up this Mourvèdre after reading about similar wines and it lived up to the hype. Untamed spice and heat with notes of citrus, plum, and currant. Even a hint of scorched earth. Despite its huge flavors, each sip was complemented with delicate tannins. This wine is as dark as they come. #qprsuperstar — 9 years ago
Nose explosively exhibits greens as only New Zealand can express; limes, gooseberries, green tea, green melons, wild herbs, and green peas, to name a few. Palate is untamed, raw, and savage. Not bogged down by any oak, this wild and dry Marlborough screams of place. #kiwi — 10 years ago
Nice languedoc wine of pure untamed Syrah. Great value for money. 2013 — 10 years ago
An untamed monster with massive acids but authentic & fun. — 11 years ago
Delightfully untamed, savage, aroma of well-hung game (which you know you like). This baby stinks but give it a few swirls in your glass and it’ll start to sing sunshine like it’s chateauneuf neighbors. — 8 years ago
Wild and untamed, bright acidity, candied apricot — 8 years ago
Very dense inky left bank. A lot of green pepper, spice, and tannin lead the way into plum, licorice and blackberry flavors. Very long finish. Tannins not quite integrated but getting close so I would give it a few more years. As it sits, however, it has a and untamed rustic characteristic that is still very enjoyable. — 8 years ago
Smooth and flavorful without a long finish, but a nice one. — 9 years ago
Somehow manages to be subtle for an untamed Aussie GSM. Amazing. — 9 years ago
Nose: bag of ripe black fruit (black cherries), gooseberry, nice herbal untamed note, grape stems
Palate: soft and elegant tannins, but a bit wild at the same time. Young and easy to drink but still good balance of all flavours. Good example of medium level unoaked northern Rhone

Now this one, this one has something to say, and baby, I'm listening. The subtle nose of rich cherry and untamed spice is released, amplified upon the palette. This wine only gets better as it breathes. Blindly leaving behind my affinity for the IGT, my early forays into the DOC have proven rewarding. @Kyle Harvey i don't use this as often as @Scott Petrus but this is a true #qprsuperstar — 10 years ago
