As the summer is slipping out of our hands, its time to to pop those complex reds that we’ve been lastning for. Produttori del Barbaresco is considered one of the best cooperatives in the world and its 2016 Barbaresco is a solid proof of that statement.
Restrained at first and needs a couple of hours in the decanter to reach its climax. True to its provenance its clasically crafted, and puts up complex profile of red cherries, rose hip, strawberries, spice, bitter orange and a volatile dried floral lift over a canvas of wet soil.
An offensive approach on the palate with a high acidity and a generous portion of mouth coating tannins that is well accompanied by a pronounced fruit profile with an evolving finish. Very good indeed, but is a couple of level behind to reach the higher tiers. — 4 years ago

Big hype about this beer, as is "Hop Slam" this one much easy to get, in fact, in CA you can get in many places all the time, price is reasonable too, just check the bottled or canned on dates since it travels far, solid IPA, really nothing new or different, just done very well in the style, if you like your IPA's balanced between malt and hops, like Dogfish then this is perfect fit you, not for me, I prefer the hops be the "Show" but I am not knocking the Beer for that, just I think it is a little over rated — 8 years ago

I feel that this is probably the best Pinot Noir producer out of the finger lakes although the competition is finally a good one. The nose has a wonderful aroma of currant a plum with undertones of spice including nutmeg and mulling spices. The palate is gorgeously light and elegant but still somewhat juicy at the same time. Flavors of plum, sour cherry and baking spice along with wonderfully balance acidity. The finish is soft and elegant with juicy fruit notes of lingering acidity. Ah, the Rocks at Milton-Freewater produce such remarkable and distinctive fruit. Morgan Lee’s take on the Stoney Vine Syrah is outstanding. Earthy, gamey, succulent, dark and full stone fruit (plum) that just keeps going. This is good for another 5 years I think. — 6 years ago

Just a special experience. The nose was powerful and dynamic evolving beautifully over 30 minutes. A smokey phase, a pine phase, and a strong floral phase. The palate was balanced and smooth.
