Popped and poured into red Solo cups. The 1997 “Radici” Riserva pours a garnet color with a near opaque core and a slightly orange rim; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe, tart, and some desiccated fruit: Montmorency cherry, plum, licorice, smoked meat, balsamico, a mix of organic and inorganic earth, exotics spices and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tanning and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and earthy. This was quite the departure from the Napa wines surrounding it but made a statement. Drink now through 2037. — 8 months ago
This wine is super light but still flavorful and pairs well with food but also so good on its own. It’s so good, it’s hard not to chug it when you crack a bottle on a warm sunny day. — 2 years ago

aroma opens up easily, good amount of fruit followed by crisp acidity. Lingering, mineral and saline finish on the end. Such an yummu juice. — 5 years ago

The 2022 vintage Fiano di Avellino from Ciropicariello starts with a rich straw-almost golden color to the eyes and unfolds in time on the nose with abundant floral notes and hints of honey. With a chance to breathe the palate evolves into a surprisingly mouth-coating viscosity that’s held together by its mineral driven heart. It’s a fuller-bodied example of the grape than what I’ve come across before and it earns it. — 9 months ago

Had at Elkridge Furnace Inn 8/'25 with dinner, ~$65. Very rich and full bodied. Strong tannins. — 9 months ago
Crisp Apple/ Cider taste. — 2 years ago
Unique grape. A bit gamey, robust tannin (not overly so). Enjoyable. Got better the more it had a chance to breathe. — 5 years ago
Best Greco I’ve had, and I’ve had many. This is an amazingly underrated grape, but’s great along, with cheese, or light fare. All I know is that I want to try some of the other obscure Mastrobernardino whites I can’t usually get and in fact have barely heard of. — 6 years ago
White peaches & honey melon - the typical Rich bodied Greco with nice acidity and a whiff of white pepper on the finish. Not bad for uncomplicated holiday sipping. — 8 years ago
