I may be a bit biased, since this is one of my all time favorite wineries, but there are few (if any other) wines with this amount of pedigree and age for 25 dollars. On the nose, dried cherries, tobacco leaf and leather. In the mouth, red fruits, a straight-razor leather oiled strop, slight grip of tannin and some acid. Medium-long finish. — 8 years ago
Sweet floral aromas, killer! — 8 years ago
2006 Cabernet from one of my favorite wineries. Not overly tannic, nice black cherry, chocolate flavors with black pepper at the finish. — 9 years ago
I loved the 2011 so I picked up the 2005. It has xinomavro whereas the 11 doesn't, making it tighter. I loved that wine. I really like this one and will love it in 2-4 more years. — 9 years ago

Very aromatic and nice structure. Well paired with rice and lentils with tsatsiki cucumber sauce. — 11 years ago
Fresh and crisp on the intake, round as it hits the back of the throat and a long graceful finish. One of our favorite ethical wineries, Solms Delta, this earthy wine is bright cherry rose. — 11 years ago
One of CA's oldest wineries, Far Niente, founded in 1885 by world traveler John Benson. The winery flourished until Prohibition, at which time it was abandoned and fell into complete disrepair. The stately stone shell of a winery was purchased in 1979 by Gil Nickel. Tropical and stone fruit aromas with complex spice and oak notes. On the palate apple, pear and citrus flavors, concentrated, with toasty oak and honey tones. Lingering finish ending with vibrant mineral characteristics. — 7 years ago
This wine was absolutely FANTASTIC! — 7 years ago
This was a 97, and drank beautifully. I ended my tour of Greek wine on that note #texsom2015 — 9 years ago
Has gotten more complex since last tasting. Pear and grapefruit initially hit the palate followed by a lime and gravelly finish. Fuller-bodied, yet deftly maintains a crisp character. Has both depth and finesse. One of my favorite wineries. — 9 years ago
This is a varietal more Tx wineries should be producing. Could use a bit more acid but the fruit is damn tasty! — 9 years ago
Crazy awesome, natty deliciousness. Wild raspberry limeade, can't stop drinking it. — 10 years ago

Super Tuscan blend. It's a blend of 60% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet and 10% Merlot. Nose of sweet & sour dark cherries. Baking spices, light spices, caramel, black licorice & fragrant dark, fresh, florals. It's not your traditional super Tuscan but it's a close relative. The mouthfeel is beautifully round, gorgeous, lush and sexy. Spice, baking spice, moist dark soil, dry powdery top soils, ruby, ripe, rich, lush, blackberries, dark cherries, spiced plum, cherries, strawberries, black licorice/cola with round. mouthwatering acidity. The structure, length, tension and balance are amazing as is the beautifully, lush finish. Photos of, their Walla Walla winery, wall artwork at their winery and hand blown stand up lamps. — 7 years ago
