Lake County Sparkling Zinfandel

Sparkles! Fruit! But also herbs and savory fruit pie were there such a thing. Enjoyed sporting pigtails because one must venture outside the box, time to time. — 5 years ago

Jack's Dry Creek Sonoma County Petite Sirah 2014

Baritone and lush, the 2014 Rock Wall Jack's Dry Creek Petite Sirah is a spicy melange of juicy black cherries, plums, cedar, and bay leaf. Inky and dark in the glass, this Sonoma County red is equally hedonistic on the palate, a riot of black fruit and ripe tannins pierced by a jaunty vein of acidity. 14.8% ABV | Sample — 8 years ago

Haynes Vineyard Syrah 2013

I'll echo the consensus - a lovely, elegant expression of Napa terroir in a Syrah. Vanilla notes give way to spiciness - fruit is at a balanced concentration with silky tannins. Vegetal tobacco notes from stems. Wish I bought more. John is an absolute rock star. 2012 vintage — 9 years ago

Other Half Brewing Co.

All Green Everything Triple India Pale Ale

All Green Everything from Other Half is a terrific hazy IPA. It was streets ahead of others when it first came out. Now it probably lacks a bit of the finesse of some of its peers but still has tons of depth a nuance. A reference point and always a pleasure. — 6 years ago

10th Anniversary India Pale Ale

10th Anniversary IPA Re-release for the 20th Anniversary Encore Series, big big west coast hops, pine, citrus, peach, orange peel, sweet malt, 10% AVB, Triple IPA, not technically a style, especially back then, adds the new hops now common, Summit and chinook hops, Outstanding back then, and still very impressive, the closest beer to compare with this is Avery's Maharaja, which is still Outstanding as well — 9 years ago

Tundra Triple A

Fieldwork tundra triple ipa. Wow! Is this easy to drink. Perfectly balanced. Would love to try this next to the younger. Amazing hops, but what I love is the excellent malt. Highly, highly recommend. The expansion of this brewery made it loose rarity but they are still at the top of Bay Area imo. — 5 years ago

I'm not much into Spirits and those I like most are grape or other fruit based. I can appreciate great Scotland whiskey quality without enjoying it, but, I must admit to real enjoyment of this smooth, mellow, silky Irish whiskey. — 9 years ago
