Wonderful example of classic, balanced California cab. Just say no to high alcohol fruit bombs. Intense yet delicate and profound. Served with perfectly BBQ tri tip. Yum! — 8 years ago
Nice. Pulled it out to share with the wife and daughter over a nice tri-tip. The Mrs. & I loved it. Peppery and smooth with a bit of tannin left. Should be great for a few more years. — 8 years ago
2005 purchased at the chateau. Medium bodied but with a nice long somewhat floral finish. Unusual for a St Esteph, which usually has a more earthy profile. Medium tannins and medium bodied. Not quite enough oomph to stand up to the barbecued tri-tip we had but very nice. — 8 years ago
I rarely drink zin because I tend to find them too alcoholic and sweet to pair with food. Loved this one, very toned down not too rich from high alcohol (only 13.3%) and I might even say elegant in style. Perfect pairing with the tri tip I made for tonight's dinner. Okay so if zinfandels could all be like this I might start drinking them again. — 9 years ago

Cab pairs with Tri tip — 12 years ago
This wine is completely dark, in color, aromas and taste. On the nose, loads of big, black, burly, brambly fruit, with a healthy dollop of smoky sage and what I can only call burnt cinnamon. The palate offers brawn and blackberries paving a roadway for licorice and spice. Pair it with anything off the grill, especially tri-tip or rib eye. — 7 years ago
Amazing with Santa Maria tri tip — 8 years ago
One of our very favorite red wine blends. Lots of dark red fruit flavors with plum boysenberry raisin noticeable. Should pair well with Tri tip off the grill. — 9 years ago
Ruby going garnet. Burnt black cherry, mushroom, bell pepper and mint on the nose - hint of ethyl acetate. Silky mouthfeel, fine, well-integrated tannins, flavors of dark fruit, cedar and forest floor. Bracing white pepper after it opens up a bit. Exceptionally balanced. Perfect with grilled tri-tip and roasted potatoes. Left-banky, reminds me of a nice St. Julien - oceans are oceans! Bravo Paso Robles. — 9 years ago
Surprised at how good this is! A bit of Chablis in the tri state area ;) — 10 years ago
Outstanding. Served with tri tip. Bought this one with Mike Mason. — 10 years ago
Made by the great randy Dunn the grapes for this wine are sourced from the wahluke slope and tri cities this wine is a more elegant style of Cabernet Sauvignon and even has a bit of Brett medicinal cigar box spice and some herbs and milk chocolate notes. A very fresh and elegant wine with currant and plum fruit with some of that cigar box spice and fresh earth. Finish 45+ most excellent — 11 years ago

Super bowl 2017 with whole family. Liter bottle. Fantastic. Decanted 21/2 hrs ahead. You know immediately when you have an exceptional wine. Lovely black raspberry and caramel. Long delicious aftertaste with rare tri- tip and roasted veggies. Great evening, disappointing result ( football). — 8 years ago
