Muted dark fruits on the nose and palate. White pepper with a touch of cigar box on the finish. Balanced and firm. — 4 years ago
This is supposedly 97% Garnacha, not Tempranillo. Wonderfully smooth and flavorful. Best Christmas wine so far. Started with $10 Don David, and now up to this for $20. Tonight a big jump to $60 CDP! — 5 years ago

Blend of 97% Mencía and 3% white grapes, deep Ruby red color with aromas of ripe black fruits, pepper spice and oak. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and plum with cinnamon, cacao, cacao and smoky notes. Fine chewy tannins, medium+ finish, lively acidity, nice mouthfeel, ending with vanilla and earthy chaulky mineral tones, a fine Sipping Wine! Organic! — 8 months ago
Still showing a lot of tannic and acidic structure, but enough fruit to keep it in check once it had a few hours of air, youthful still, and brawny. — a year ago
Best Mencia I have ever had, still with at least a couple of decades ahead, opaque garnet burgundy color with no sign of bricking, from a small century old vineyard, very distinctive nose of menthol, leather, clove, nutmeg, Asian five spices, pot roasted pork, black licorice, cassis and black plum, full body with fresh acidity and velvety tannin after three hours decant, tastes of black cherry, black berry, clove, licorice, espresso, black plum, mocha, and sandalwood, 588 bottles produced with 6 additional magnum. — 5 years ago
Nice little medium bodied wine. Well balanced fruit w a little earth toward the end. Decent acidity and tannins — 6 years ago
Lots of red fruit on the nose. Strawberries and raspberries upfront with herbs and tabaco following. Good amount of tannins at the end. — 6 years ago

This went perfect with enchiladas and Mexican food. The spicy notes complimented the flavors perfectly.

Notes of raspberry, flint, butter. Medium bodied, feel the sun and the acid, oak tannins, length, with blackberries and raspberries. I think this 2022 would have been in great in 2024. Love garnacha, but I feel I’d better drink it young, almost unoaked. — 7 months ago
