Nice light acidity chardonnay with notes of apple and citrus. Another good one from Traveling Vineyard. — 9 years ago
Just got into Napa from a long day of traveling. Starting in Malibu for India's MBA graduation to Napa for celebrations! We decided to grab a heavy varietal and stick with Napa. This wine was a deep and dark ruby red, actually almost purplish black that completely coated the glass. Very interesting nose that was a little tight to start. Finally opened up over the next hour with some blackberries and freshly broken branches. Started with some softer dark fruits, but also coated with thick blackberries. Not overly sweet at all. Moderate tannins (7/10) and moderate plus body. Some red berries with their bright acidity near the finish. Moderate plus finish. Can see this becoming more integrated with time. Drink till 2022. 89+ — 9 years ago
Nice smooth cab - jammy and not too dry, not too sweet! — 10 years ago
Outstanding. If you want to visit a winery this place is wonderful. Was here a month ago traveling thru Tuscany. The winemakers had us try and guess the smell of this wine and we all got it - tomato - quite unusual and fantastic. I will be ordering more for shipment — 10 years ago
Love it - much better after letting it breathe — 10 years ago

Traveling Vineyards Party - bold, very smooth when aerated...bought 2 bottles — 12 years ago
Savoury cherries and some cocoa notes on nose. Well balanced. I really like Great Southern Shiraz (WA). Preferable to Margaret River Shiraz in the West Australian sphere. Tasted again on 23 rd March 2018. Lovely earthy savoury cherry nose and palate. Supple tannins. Traveling well at 11 years. — 8 years ago
In every difficult vintage, anywhere, you will find producers that make exceptional wines. This 91 Palmer is such a wine. I have to thank Clyde Beffa owner of K&L Wine Merchants who has been traveling to Bordeaux for 35+ years for highly recommending two 91 Bordeaux's to me. The 91 Pichon Lalande; which he described as "heavenly." It's just the word I would have used to described it 5 or 6 years ago. Also, this 91 Palmer. He described as, "I love it-soft and silky." I would strongly agree. You see, critics gave the 91 vintage a horrific review as a whole. Bordeaux had two frosts in April and a cold growing season. These elements didn't prevent either of these producers from making beautifully elegant 1991 wines. I have said it many times and will say it again, taste wines even in difficult vintages. You'll find value and some excellent wines. As for this 91, it's in perfect form. Excellent on it's own and even better with the ribeye. It's so elegant, smooth, beautiful, ripe and well balanced with earth & fruit. The fruits are slightly stewed & baked. Blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, touch of rhubarb, cherries, strawberries. Dried florals, used leather, tobacco with ash, slight vegetal quality, anise, not too sweet black cherry licorice/cola, figs, dark earth with crushed rocks, dry stones, underbrush, understated spice and perfect acidity that drips over the palate. The length, structure, balance and finish are in perfect harmony & the finish goes on and on and on. As many times as we've been to Bordeaux, we never get tired of the drive on the D-2 through Margaux and Pauillac. Chateau Margaux & Palmer stand side by side in beautiful prodigious history to say nothing of Baron Pichon & Pichon Lalande. Every year, for my B-day, I have a great steak and an old Bordeaux. It just doesn't get any better than that. And as many of those nights I've had, B-day or not, this might have been the best. Perhaps topping or equaling the Ribcap at Bourbon Steak and the 91 Pichon Lalande. To quote Gary Westby, "it steak and claret night." 12% alcohol is so much more enjoyable than 15% plus. ❤🍷🎉🎂 — 8 years ago
Very nice wine. While traveling in south of France. — 9 years ago
Love this wine! One of my favorites! Recommend it to sweet wine drinkers. May be too sweet for some but I don't mind it. — 10 years ago
Firstly, we are drinking this wine @ Brett Jennings' amazing Chapel Hill eatery, Elaine's. Love this place, in a world class way. Now, on to the wine - dancing, dazzling half enchanted🍷😎 we are drinking the 04, so it has some time in the bottle (good time)! It's blueberry/raspberry touched and toned, by the barrel, calmly releasing its magic, as one goes., which is slow and elegant for a badass Bordeaux. It lacks the depth of what happened in France in 2000, but it certainly holds traits of the same. Get some, let it open and dive into the mix, then contribute to this conversation...✌🏻️💙🍷&👣 salute! Thx be to Brett, Damon& Happy Birthday to Lisa!!! Eat @ Elaine's, even if that means traveling from ... — 10 years ago

Dear WNH,
What an amazing weekend! Thank you Martin and Christine. A selfless act of kindness and generosity putting this together we cannot thank you enough. What a way to introduce wines, and more so, wine connoisseurs to each other. Upon leaving, Jamie and I were sad not knowing when we will see our new friends again. We wish everyone traveling safe travels and let's keep in touch. Cheers!!! 🍷 Panther — 8 years ago
