Blackberry and meaty aroma. Blackberry fruit flavors initially gives way to a lot of mushroom and barnyard flavors. Medium-bodied, with a strong backbone that provides a mouth-puckering finish. Thinner than the '12, with more funk, less meat. Different; no less enjoyable. One of the best values, if not one of the best overall wines, out there for under $20. Picked up this bad boy for 16CHF at a train stop in Visp, not my favorite of this royal variety, but it had nice black fruits along with leather and a hint of a repaved asphalt road on a hot summer day, definitely could have used some time in crystal - our hosts had none. #qprking — 9 years ago

Deep fruit and cedar aroma. Flavours of dark fruit like bramble & blackberry. Beautifully balanced with powerful tannins kept in check with great flavour intensity. Length like a freight train — 10 years ago
Barreled age beer, peaty flavor. Very delicious and dangerous (strong). Gift from master of our neighbor beer bar. Thank you very much:-)) #quemlin #anniversary — 7 years ago

Keeping the Loire train rolling. Underripe tropical, lemon/lime peel, red apple, ginger, and a big dose of chalky minerality. So much depth, so fresh, and such a good value — 9 years ago
Light, easy to drink. Could just have an entire bottle myself while writing or having a cigar. — 9 years ago
My parents took Beth and I on Wine Train. We brought better wine. — 10 years ago
Not bad on a train with plastic cups. Actually really nice finish and body. Smooth. Almost light feel but medium bodied. — 10 years ago
Clean apple flavor with a funk on the end. If you haven't gotten on board the dry cider wine train, you need to start here. — 8 years ago
This is a knife hit of an underripe apricot, smelling almost of good? mildew and plum fingernails in starfruit, white plum, and lemon-pig laundry sheets. Pretty sure I sold this in the late nineties, bulk. Lemony-apricot dries up your palate into pure Cotts canyon, borderline sweet onion in lemongrass oil with light basil. Grow some neck muscles, train with PEDs and dive into this empty pool. Yer da man! — 9 years ago
