I've become obsessed with Coteaux Champenoise after my trip to the motherland of Champagne and ever since has been trying to get my hands on all Coteaux that are being imported to tr states. 2013 Testa Rossa Chardonnay, Rosella's Vineyard (California Santa Lucia Highlands).
Best-balanced TR Chardonnay to date: nice aromas of honeysuckle and lemon, mid-bodied across the palate with nice green apple acid balanced with a touch of oak on the finish. Super good. — 11 years ago

Elliott and I went to Paris for the first time, and this was a discovery from Verjus, which is now our favorite-ever tasting menu (it was our first dinner of the two week trip--of course!). On to the wine...this was electric paired my favorite seafood dish ever--seared scallops with fennel and potato purée and pickled radishes. Full of savory minerality, lemon zest, peaches, and a perfect structure, this is my new bar for Macon chardonnay. — 10 years ago
