If I must confess, I bought this one for the label. A good red blend to have on hand. Also, I've had this in Sangria and it was great! — 9 years ago
Super smooth, light tannins, medium body, cherries, really really yummy! — 9 years ago
#KostaBrowne Chardonnay from Russian River. Need to breathe breathe breathe before enjoying the wines! A bold chard with interesting aroma of cooked pineapple! Balanced wine with cooked pear favour on palate.
I like the name '116' - the hwy cuts through the town of Sebastopol in the Russian River Valley sub-appellation of Green Valley. :)

Sometimes when your significant other opens a bottle while you're out of town that you meant to keep for another 10 years before opening, you just leave it open in the fridge for 4 nights and it starts to sing! — 10 years ago

2010 vintage that is drinking really well. Dark fruit, leather, pepper with the robust tannic finish you expect from Tannat. Proof this varietal is a hit in Texas and that you shouldn't be afraid to try a lone star state bottle — 9 years ago
2014, Joseph Mellot, La Chatellenie, Sancerre, Sauvignon Blanc. We had our last lunch at Joseph Mellot's restaurant in Sancerre. Excellent meal, great wine and a great view of the town square on a beautiful summer day. This wine takes me back to that day. Classic Sancerre: grapefruit, citrus, fresh cut hay, chalk and amazing acidity. — 9 years ago

Baked cherry pie, cranberries, sour cherries, smoke. A bit fruit forward but bright tangy acidity balances the palate. Good with anything tomato & basil. — 9 years ago

Have yet to have an EK bottle disappoint. This is in a fantastic window right now. So good. From the winery; ‘In the glass, the 2013 Small Town Pinot is a very pretty medium garnet color. Explosive aromas of crushed red cherry, forest floor and spice abound, followed by an outright party of ripe cranberry, strawberry, black plum and rhubarb pie on the palate. All rounded out by hints of juniper berry, nutmeg and cloves. A hair riper than last year, but no less graceful, there’s a pleasant sense of all-around finesse.’ All ringing true tonight. Loved this. — 7 years ago
