Torn. Needed to pick up some wine from east bank but didn’t get it done this week. Do I not have wine with prime ribeye, or do I crack one of my favorites that I had hoped to keep for a bit longer... and, now I have one fewer. :) — 8 years ago
I'm a bit torn on this one - the first sip was excellent, but it got a bit cloying as the bottle went on. A truly interesting apple-based desert wine / cider - smells like ripe calvados, but tastes like a deep fruity apple based drink. — 8 years ago
Love old GL...as old big boy St Julian comes forth. They've changed their style quite a bit now it seems but the old ones really more 'fortified' than now and why so unique in its history. Loved this 59 even as label is badly torn wine was lovely! — 9 years ago
Wow, wow, wow. Really impressive. All sorts of coiled bitter pithy citrus, torn mint, spent shotgun shells, button mushroom and a little gingery-saffron-marmalade from the botrytis. Raging acid. I mean, woah, is it tart, but a real generosity of texture on the palate keeps things together. A first from this producer for me and absolutely on point for mature Sancerre. Drink now or in the next 3-5. — 10 years ago
I am torn between this and yellowtail for my favorite cheap Riesling! Very good for the price. — 10 years ago
2010:
nose of black cherry, braised fennel to torn arugula, violets & incense
a core of focused juicy fruit is followed by a cascade of iron rich velvety tannins
was phenomenal w roasted truffle butter chicken and root vegetables — 10 years ago
Beautifully aging. We have two more. It was so delicious with our steak that I am torn. Delayed or immediate gratification? — 10 years ago
Initial aroma of dirt or soil! Immediate taste of merlot_ ish. With almost a green pepper initial flavor. The four of us are torn on this one. BUT. much better after swirling. — 11 years ago
2002 was the best vintage ever of Laetitia Pinot Noir. Bottle was in the wine refrigerator for years, label got torn. — 7 years ago
A fuller bodied heavier NZSB @ £19-25 that's definitely better with food 😎
🐥 Paired w/ torn hot roast chicken, cold basil pesto pasta, moroccan fruity cous-cous, potato croquettes & beetroot salad 👍
🍷 Light golden yellow
👃 Delicate muted soft honey, citrus, peach, pineapple, white flowers & fuel smoke
👄 Med+ creamy smooth body of citrus & tropical fruits baked in honey & honeydew melon
🎯 Long honey caramel citrus & tropic soft creamy melon linger w/ grapefruit hint — 8 years ago
Very pretty, almost dainty. Felt torn. Love the elegance but wanted a little more power and flesh. — 9 years ago
Really torn on this one. A great expression. Earthy, with a barnyard tint to it. Has spice and tart fruit. But also doesn't taste as well integrated as I expected. — 9 years ago
Not performing at its best tonight with a hint of that reduction that have been bothering me in some other previous bottles.
I'm torn on this but still think time will benefit it.

So lovely; baking spices, resin, and notes of citrus. Torn between drinking it by its wonderful self or mixing it to make a beautiful martini. Not too sweet but somehow still smells like a perfect piece of carrot cake. — 10 years ago
Wonderful flavor right out of the bottle. — 10 years ago
So sad this vineyard was torn out by Silver Oak to plant more swag cab . My last Sausal Sangiovese; it had great bang for the buck, and stood tall against the rest of Cal-ital's Sangiovese produced domestically — 11 years ago
First course, Cauliflower Puree, Torn Bread, Olive Oil Perfect! @PlateandBottle This is such a Burgundian steal. Thick & creamy to match the soup. Lots of time on lees. Lemon, honeysuckle, green apple, lime, grapefruit pith, butterscotch, butter but not buttery and smooth as velvety silk. This is their best since their 2010. I can’t say enough good things about what this producer achieves from this terroir. — 7 years ago
Excellent well priced £23 Chablis Premier Cru 👍 in a quite chunky bottle 😎
🍷 Straw yellow
👃 Torn lemon zest over crushed wet mineral rocks w/ a light honey, apple & pear mist
👄 Med refreshing slight creamy & dry body of zesty sweet lemon curd w/ green fruit & minerals following through
🎯 Long touch dry mineralised lemon & green sweet fruit linger
📸 Oh & yes took advantage of a weird cloud formation for this shot 😁 — 8 years ago
Blind. I was torn between Tempranillo and Malbec at first. Foolishly boarded the Malbec train which took me down the Bdx path. I don't drink enough wine from outside of NZ anymore.
Really good example of the variety. Not a game changer, but nothing to fault. Very enjoyable, and I was told it was very cheap. If so, amazing qpr. — 9 years ago
Slightly torn on this one. Interesting and enjoyable. Great concentration of fruit, funky, a bit foxy, cigarette notes. I actually liked it, but it was a bit up there on the "natural" scale. It could have been many different varieties from varying places.
The unofficial theme of the night was the merit of these wines, where they fit in, and in what context(if needed). — 9 years ago
Typical Napa but with a bit of flair. I'd recommend this to someone torn between Bordeaux and Napa. — 10 years ago
Paired with Iceberg Lettuce Salad
Oven roasted Roma tomatoes, olives, tfl fennel, pickled red onions, torn garlic croutons, blue cheese dressing — 10 years ago
If you have a chance to get the Reserva do it. Was torn between the 2008 and the 2009. Both rated very high, with a tiny price difference, so I went with the '08.
Great legs, great nose, and great flavor! I'm headed back to the store to get a few more bottles for that special dinner party.
This has to be one of the 5 best wines I've tasted this year! 8>) — 10 years ago
Torn because the flavors showed so much delicious transparency and development--Leather! Cherry! Spice box!--but the lower acidity left it feeling a little flat. — 10 years ago
A strong white wine, perfect when you are torn between a white or red wine at the restaurant... — 11 years ago

Torn Label & soaked cork. But its whats on the inside that counts👍🏻 — 7 years ago
