One of the six vineyards that make up @torbreckbarossa #Runrig. A very cool wine. Delicious on its own. Great reflection of the region — 10 years ago
Delish. Honey pear. Nose isn't too floral but a light elegant dessert wine that's great with cheese or on its own after dinner. Underrated IMHO. — 12 years ago
French style dry and savoury. Long and lingering. — 9 years ago
He's back! Post the Torbreck apocalypse, David Powell has come storming back w this cracking Barossa/Eden Shiraz blend: this is an athlete of a wine, powerfully built, yet w great definition and muscle tone. Beautifully walks the high wire, balancing bright berries w savoury complexity. Reminds me very much of the very best of The Struie that he made and is a cracking good wine. Chapeau M. Powell! 🎩 — 9 years ago

Drinks like a Torbreck Run Rig bit more polished. In a perfect place right now — 9 years ago
Dark fruit - ripe and jammy blackberry, with black cherry and a pronounced oak spice, presenting as gingerbread spice / pfeffernusse. Slight eucalyptus or mint character. I'm taken with this nose - it's so... Christmas excess.
Dark fruit - blackberry, black cherry.
This seemed lighter than the Steading, with medium plus body and elevated alcohol, but actually the alcohol was 15.5%.
Elevated acid - possibly acidified, based on how it stuck out, and seemed slightly bitter/artificial. Very minimal tannins. Balanced, ripe, and delicious, with a polarizing gingerbread character. — 10 years ago

1st sip is a fruit bomb in your face but it calms down and becomes quite delicious, slightly sour, full expression of Grenache — 12 years ago
