Young distillery on Islay. Kind of young whisky as well: somewhat citric, with a orange flavour later on, and a peat mouth. β 10 years ago
This was one of the last bottles produced. An exceptionally great tasting scotch to enjoy with exceptionally great friends. β 10 years ago
The Balvenie makes some truly fantastic Scotch at all levels of aging. Having said that, every time they release a new batch of their Single Barrel 15yr aged varietal I do whatever I can to snag a bottle, and I'm not only never let down, I'm generally blown away. β 11 years ago
Light, sweet and honey aromas β 11 years ago
Toffee and brown sugar, almost candied fruits. Mid-palette to the finish is a bit one dimensional, but a great go-to bourbon. β 8 years ago

Yes, it is dark, and it really benefits from a healthy dollop of water. #darkorigins #highlandpark #scotch #delectableapp #oldlinefinewine β 10 years ago
Fantastic. Salty and briny with a bit of smoke to balance it out. Very easy scotch from one of the last independent distilleries in Ireland. β 11 years ago
Big brother bowmore. Reasonably priced for what it is but fabulous! β 12 years ago
One of my favorites: the smoothest malt light body very mild oak almost non Smokey you can run the whole bottle easily../ β 8 years ago
Nose of fermented grains, apple cider, and some aldehyde. Taste of some brown sugar, toffee notes, especially after stirring the sip with tongue, tea and baked apple flavor, hotness from alcohol, hint of smoky oaks, milk chocolate, dried figs, and mango. Aftertaste is some warmth in the throat, dried mango, a hint of zest, and a bit peaty. The flavors are bold but well structured at the same time. You won't be disappointed as she offers a mix of different flavors compared with bourbon and most of the Irish whisky. β 9 years ago
