Bringing out some fun stuff tonight. This 54 year old Barolo shows its age with a brick brown color that has swirling pale to dark variations. The aroma is intense - a wet pile of leaves, old wood, tomato juice, and dates. Lots of dried fruits, leather, and more leaf and earth round it out. Zero tannins, almost no acid, light body, medium finish. — 3 years ago

Excelente este Carmelo Romero Reserva 2010 degustado en el Día del padre 2010. Color con algo de evolución, brillo y limpidez presente. En nariz frutos rojos confitados y en mermelada junto a tabaco, cacao y especias. Vino con excelente bouquet y estupenda conservación 9 años después de su cosecha.
