2011. This is the Gran Reserva. Delectable locked up last night trying to enter that… our wine of the night. My daughter said that on each bite from multiple dishes, either the wine made the food better, or the food made the wine better. So glad I finally was able to drink a bottle! Everything I want in a summery sparkly rose! Dry but with just the right amount of berry fruits! — 5 years ago
Pretty good. Grenache and syrah. 2011 vintage. — 7 years ago
This is my first experience with this wine. The ruby rim and long legs announce a great wine. And the promise is delivered. I’m greeted with a beautiful bouquet and as soon as I taste it, I decide I have a new favorite wine. Red fruit, sandalwood and a dash of peppermint just to remind you that it can be spring all year. — 7 years ago
Fabulous brut nature with starters or aperitif wish we could get this stateside — 8 years ago
Great nose ...dark fruit and leather smell ...nice and smooth on the palate... Dark fruit...very good wine ! — 11 years ago
Thought this was a really unique Rioja. Deep Rick ruby with a smokey burnt caramel aroma. On the bud, stewed dark cherries, pepper, and pomegranate that is smooth and a long finish. Nice tannins in the mouth. Great price for a gran reserva from a famous Rioja winery. — 3 years ago
Very good !!! — 6 years ago
Hard to give a read on this, given its wine companions for the night. Seems like it’s at its peak and the tannins were medium through the two hours we drank from it. Wasn’t decanted, would love to be tasting it again today to see what was left. — 6 years ago
2016 vintage. Dark red. Ripe fruit. earthy nose. Wild herbal quality. Good acidity. Balanced out by medium tannins. — 7 years ago
Goodness I love LRA wines. The nose on these are intoxicating. American oak has calmed down but still full of coconut and dill. Could smell it all day. Incredibly pure on the palate. Blackberries, Mexican vanilla, green pepper. No tannic bite. — 8 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of mostly Tempranillo with about equal amounts of Garnacho, Graciano and Manzuelo, deep Ruby with a graceful bouquet of berry fruits, cigar box spice with fresh earthy tones, a traditional Rioja, still reticent. On the silky smooth palate, elegant with layers of flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine soft tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice long chalky earthy character. Delicious! — 10 months ago
