One of my fave Zin makers. This one with dashes of carignane and petite Syrah. Intensely flavored with ripe dark fruit, pencil shavings and baking spices. Lots of acid to lift the richness. Long finish of fruit and spice. — 9 years ago
From the makers of prisoner, absolutely delicious! many of the french white varieties like rousanne and Viognier, great balance, worth looking for — 9 years ago

Love this wine. Have only one bottle left. We've bought cases of it over the years. We dialed the wine makers after tasting it the first night, they were skiing but so happy to talk to us! So touching to taste a community wine that pairs well with everything. — 10 years ago
Very nice NZ SB! Apparently Jules Taylor used to work for Kim Crawford and Cloudy Bay but then went into business for herself. Dinner at High Steaks Restaurant in Thunder Valley. Initially rated it higher but after having it again had to lower my rating. — 10 years ago
Apparently, in Croatia, they refer to white wine and black wine. They should see this Dolcetto! The Pecchenino brothers are among my favorite wine makers on the planet. The 2010 sirì d'Jermu is still so youthful it just brings a smile on your face with every sip. — 11 years ago
Great OZ Shiraz at a value price. From the makers of Billi Billi a former Fav! Big juices strawberry proportioned acidic mid mouth that compliments BBQ sauce and pork or beef. Going to get more great for the patio with or with out food! — 12 years ago
Dark amber color. Aromas and flavors of ripe grapes, cherries, pomegranates, cinnamon, and sweet vanilla. The underlying earthy character is present, and a silky texture in the mouth flows into a long vanilla and oak spice finish. Notes of spice, underbrush, some sappy flowers, hints of sappy herbs, and darker raspberry fruit. Medium bodied, supple, beautifully polished, elegant and seamless. 7 months in French oak. Domaine Jean Royer got the '13 right. This is a very drinkable wine from the first pour. The nose reveals a young wine with lots of Grenache and some Syrah in a supporting role. I don't find Mourvèdre. The fruit is primary, yet savory. Black pepper notes come out after 30 minutes. This isn't one of the great CdP makers, but certainly they are consistent. Consider this wine if you are exposing drinkers to the southern Rhône for the first time. — 9 years ago
Welcome to Dr Todd's Wine Bar once again. Tonight we are tasting Elizabeth and Clarke Swanson's 2002 Alexis from Oakville Estates in Napa Valley. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The cork has a 3mm ring that is well defined. The legs are 4 seconds. The boquet is that of ripe plums. the initial palate is blackberry currant. There is no tanic boquet or taste. The finish is minimally dry, spicy and tantelizing tonthe roof of the mouth. The middle edges of the toungue are tingling. This is very very very good wine!!! I will try and contact the wine makers and order a case of this beautiful wine! Its most likely not available... — 10 years ago
One of my favorite Beaujolais makers. Vintage 2013. — 10 years ago
An excellent and immediately drinkable wine from one of my favorite wine makers. — 10 years ago
SC Pannell probably one of the best makers of alternative varieties in Australia. Dusty raspberries on nose with a mouth filling savoury palate finished off with assertive tannins. Very good. 17. — 11 years ago

More rich fruity '14 #oregonpinot from the makers of Elk Cove under this new label — 9 years ago
One of my favorite wine makers- Kenny Likitprakong of Hobo wine Co. He uses native yeast no commercial fermentation aids or additives. High quality wine for a great price (13.95 @ the Co-op). On lees for a few months then beau real French for 2 months. Vibrant and fresh with a creamy, slight oak finish. Lemony with a long finish. — 9 years ago
Lush! Favorite new friend. Beautiful red fruit meets Russian River brown earth. Sad only had 1 bottle. — 10 years ago
Absolutely thunder snow worthy — 10 years ago
An Australian icon-aged Clare Valley Riesling (in those days called Rhine Riesling unfortunately due to our country's slim knowledge base but later corrected against a barrage of opposition from conservatives and industrial makers of riesling, but not using riesling!) Classic glass of flavour; #honey #burnttoast #agedriesling #brulee #butter #crunch #yum #mouthful #watervale #treasuryestates ; wine made by the great man John Vickery before his defection to Richmond Grove when the Fosters people closed the brand down; but now it is back! Wine won three gold medals in the year of production-1990; probably never shown since. 12.5%; 1990 a terrific red year, usually not so for riesling; this had backbone; sweet acidity; nut power. — 11 years ago

Nice balance of acid and fruit. Very drinkable. A touch of green Jolly Rancher (in all the good ways). Bought at Table Wine. We met the wine makers at a tasting. Nice folks and great wine. — 8 years ago
