Always a right-bank favorite of mine.. first time trying the '12. A touch leaner than previous vintages, but same overripe, richly textured palate I love. Mocha, oak, and blackberry dominate the palate while it lives up to every other '12 bordeaux with seamless tannins that are as smooth as ever. A whif of smoke and charcoal linger in the background.. Third Vintage of this #cabernetsaugvinon #wine I've had and the consistency is again spot on. Tasted almost five hours after opened and still tight.

Closed aromas leaning towards cassis and blackberries. Fine, focused and extremely pure texture. Smooth finish with espresso and bitter cocoa. Definitely early, this wine will age for awhile. Lives up to top tier Rutherford quality.
