Final red from this northern Rhone winery hit most of the check marks for me. Well balanced. Fruity, but not overly jammy nose, medium bodied and much more approachable than the previous 100% Syrah. — 10 years ago

François Villard consistently amazes me at taking white varietals that I tend not to get too excited about, and making wines out of them that make me want to sit down, stare off into space and think about stuff. 70% Marsanne, 30% Roussanne, non-sparkling St Peray.
