As I put my sweet baby girl to bed after a looong day, snuggling with her in her new "big girl bed", I found a stray eyelash on her cheek. Maybe I'm alone in this, but for as long as I can remember I have been superstitiously transferring these from one finger to another...and if I blow the lash off while making a wish, "they" say it will come true. I tried wishing this was a 2007 Screaming Eagle - or that I could magically be beamed onto David Lentine's Napa trip for the night (ha!). Alas, no such luck. Seriously thou, with my kids' lashes, I have always wished the same thing: "may you have a wonderful life." But I made this addition: "may you always have the courage to be yourself." #inthistogether #overturnHB2 #onlylove — 9 years ago
Spain, how I love thee! Tropical fruit and minerals. — 10 years ago
93/100 Marion Marion Marion how do I love thee! Elegant power right here, named after the grape this is 100% made from and smothered in the winemakers trade and Valpolicella. The grape in unique and identifiable and here produces a rich complex wine.
Dark opaque ruby red in the glass with insanely oily texture. The nose is light and fresh red and black fruit, slight florals and herbs.
The palate is smooth and light yet powerful with elegant second stage tannin finely polished. The finish is light but long. — 10 years ago
Art thou still alive, Manling? — 11 years ago
Love this rich wine, higher acidity than it's 2009 counterpart and much more balanced alcohol. Oh Margaux, I love thee... — 11 years ago
Possibly thee best Malbec ever bottled! — 12 years ago
Great fresh acidity and tropical sweetness. Clementines or satsumas ( I'm not able to distinguish between my miniature citrus fruits) — 9 years ago
Old Calabria is number one on my personal travel books top list, wrote by that British genius who was Norman Douglas. Now this is the optimum wine to pair with such a reading: rarity, daring, intensity... only to mention few of the features we'got stated in here. Name of the wine's: 'A Vita - La Vite, The Vine in Calabrian dialect in harmony with The Life/La Vita as well - it focuses from the start the insane complexity and discloses the fleeing of the whole subject in itself! Salute e lunga Vita, thou good Old Cirò! — 10 years ago
Hold the phone, amazing soul and substance from thee most amazing Piemonte vintage of recent note. This wine, which I just ordered for my store, is like a majestic equine, power under control. Not an audacious bragger, not a cocktail for afternoon drinks. Oh no, selling for under $40, this wine will wow those who consider themselves in the 'know' and for those who don't, it will leave you scratching your head, wondering what all the 'fuss' is about. Love #Barolo ?? But the price of admission is too steep, grab this one for the cellar, you won't be disappointed. #wine #delectable #wiyg #blackandwhite #photography #winelover #hashtags — 10 years ago
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Black cherry, cassis, bell pepper, tobacco, violets, vanilla and clove. — 10 years ago
Domaine Filitreau I sing of thee. The wine is "tight", a Cabernet franc that needs none of the all to common help from Merlot to hold its own. Mid tannin/texture make fine drinkability. Love to smell the plum later, later. I have to urge you to decant, and drink SLOWLY. Allow some of that tightness to wain. — 10 years ago
Absent thee from felicity a while,
And in this harsh world draw thy breath in pain
To tell my story. — 11 years ago

This may very well be thee best Rosé I've ever had. Light & subtle, perfect blend between dry & delicately sweet.
Glad I bought 2 bottles. — 9 years ago
Looks like viscous, golden, motor-oil. Smells like sugar frosted black coffee grounds. Tastes like light - bulb filament and buttercream. Sweet, sweet madeira how I live thee. *hiccup* This special reserve bual reminds me of a jungle cat with a topaz collar. *hiccup* Yeah that'll do.... — 10 years ago

This was just stupid haha I quit life for a couple minutes this day. Just when Merlot started disappointing. The Italians said pause, rolled up their sleeves and punched me right in the kisser. Easily one of, if not THEE best Tuscan red I've ever had. Additionally, the best 100% Merlot I've ever had. This wine makes me crazy. I quit. — 9 years ago
