It seems that in three years from the 1991 I tasted last week The winemaking is completely changed.
Far too oaky, it had the fruit right in my opinion, but not the care I found in the previous bottle from Rothbury
Apparently after Len Evans left the company things changed

At least 10 times the value
I still can’t get past what Hunter Valley wines can do in a good vintage
No signs of decay
I am so amazed
I bought at least half dozen of bottles from early 90’s from Rothbury and this is the first I open
