An incredible Syrah from California. Meaty, smoky, grilled herbs and nicely framed fruit. Dead ringer for Northern Rhone. — 9 years ago
Excellent ringer for a Barolo, dead on with tar, dried rose petals, bitter red fruits and spice. Dusty texture, fine velvety tannins that firm up on the finish. The classic velvet glove with the iron first Barolo is known for, but this my friends is #xinomavro from #greece #greekwine — 9 years ago
A wine that would do well at a masquerade party. On opening a dead ringer for an aged riesling, petrol and honey. The palate is full of honey, pears and faint hints of minerals all wrapped in a wave of acid. No one would be criticized if they tasted it blind and said aged Chenin . Fascinating — 9 years ago
Stupid good. Bordeaux ringer blind. — 10 years ago
Thanksgiving Ringer, Boom. Last bottle — 9 years ago
Very similar to the brut reserve which is delicious.
Color is a dead ringer for rose gold. (Pink coppery tones) quite gorgeous.
Floral bouquet with fresh cut light fruit.
Palate of cherries, hints of dark red fruit yet very light tasting.
A solid rosé offering.

It looked young, but tasted mature. Dark fruit along with cedar and tobacco. A Bordeaux ringer - fantastic. — 9 years ago
Stewed fruits, tar, earth, mushroom, funk. A ringer for Rioja. — 9 years ago
Dead ringer Aussie but while the fruit is huge, it's not ridiculously overdone. Fun to have these types of wines from time to time — 9 years ago

Figured I would start strong. This is my first taste of Peter Michael's Pinot, but he seemed pretty fired up about it. His other wines are unbelievable. Cracking this open in a couple of hours, so I'll update this after. Update: cherry cola, leather, the fruit is clearly exceptional, and the winemaking just accents it flawlessly. Long, lingering finish. This is unbelievable wine. I've never had a better Pinot. Paired this wine with a dry-aged prime ribeye with a balsamic cherry reduction. Dead ringer. The two did the tango right across the palate. — 9 years ago
Super bright Syrah, dead ringer for northern Rhone. Amazing acid profile, so bright. Lavender, violets, iron, and fresh dark fruit. — 9 years ago
Wow another stunner. Can't get much better than this. Plums and black fruits with a touch of Eucalyptus, rich and flavorful. CB 93+. — 10 years ago
This wine is punching way above it weight. Dead ringer for Cornas at 1/4 of the price. Smells just like brisket, smokey, meaty and black pepper. — 10 years ago
