2014. So classic and yet definitely not from the other famous Riesling regions around the world. — 8 years ago
Nice Cab/Syrah blend from one of my favorite regions. Paso Robles! — 9 years ago
I feel like the "value" Rhône wines perform better than almost any other wines of the same category from other regions. This is great, classic N. Rhône character on a moderate frame. At first funk, red plums, wild berries and violets filled the glass, evolving into grilled bacon, beef blood, black licorice, and peppery olive character. While it doesn't have the density nor weight of some Syrah it still is lovely and engaging to drink. — 9 years ago
Priorat!! One of my favorite regions for sure. This one is delightfully pleasant. Cinnamon and floral notes on the nose. Cherries, strawberries, and even some unexpected blueberries on the palate. Since this bottle isn't oaked to high hell, there's a fresh and rustic taste here. There's somewhat of a sharp edge that I'm really digging too. While just a little baby, this is made for drinking now. — 9 years ago
One of my personal favorite #Burgundy regions, Mercurey. Aubert & Pamela de Villaine's 2011 'Les Montots'--this dusty, truffled, earthy genius was really so pretty. Needs a wee bit of time to open up, but the cheery lil cherry bits sure were tasty! #ShadowsintheVineyard tasting. #certifiablydelish — 10 years ago
Italy’s hard. There are too damn many esoteric grapes and regions to sort out, and often sold at a premium. But for big, intense and fruit-forward wines, Brunello di Montalcino is worth the extra cash on a special ocassion. Montalcino is a hilltop village in Tuscany, Brunello is the local nickname for sangiovese grapes grown there. Rich, dark, supple fruit that’s well balanced with dusty cedar, pencil shavings and sweet spice. In a word, luscious. #laterwine — 10 years ago
A seriously fun wine or fun serious wine? 4 great winemakers 4 great regions 4 grapes.
I have tasted this on all levels of wine drinkers and EVERYONE has loved it.
More than just a field blend. This has thought and purpose going on behind it.
Quality > price > great deal.
I rarely buy wine but will definitely be getting some of this. I was going to say for the cellar but this isn't a cellaring wine not for more than a year or three. — 10 years ago
Smooth and silky, amazing wine from one of portugal's best regions — 11 years ago
Very interesting! Like and Pinot like. Very fruity and Beaujolais like with a slight popcorn finish. Very obscure grape from one of my favorite regions. Nice pickup. I'll have to get more and implement this to the summer rotation for a light red option for warm weather. — 11 years ago
This is a wine to be enjoyed any way you like. For example, on a Friday night after a busy week when you only have energy for pizza in front of the TV. A very approachable old vine Zin sourced from various California regions. It will make you feel human again. And it pairs well with pizza. — 7 years ago
Marcel's Alsace blends are remarkable for their quality and uniqueness -- he may be the sole Alsace producer who blends the regions spectacular grapes. — 9 years ago
Wow! Cherries and raspberries with an intense floral bouquet, pencil shavings and slight touch of cinnamon on the nose. Sour cherry on the palate, soft tannins yet an elegant and silky texture. For $18(CAD) a steal of a deal. Wines like this are the reason Loire is one of my favourite regions. — 9 years ago
I really enjoyed this wine. The earthy notes with rounded soft fruit, was fun. It's been a while having a Châteauuef Du Pape- one of the great wine regions. — 9 years ago
One of my fave wines from fave regions — 10 years ago
What is it about these French reds? You can pick them out from a global mix: clear and a little dry. I'm sure if I knew the regions better, I could match them - they each seem to have a signature. — 10 years ago
This is a dynamo of a wine that transports you across multiple regions. Is this a Burgundy, a Bordeaux or is it Italian from the Piedmont region? Its uniqueness is unmatched and yet it is from one of he most endangered wine regions in the world. Let's save this classic? — 10 years ago
Really nice representation of the value and quality of Portugal's Douro blends. Soft with being cloying and a good balance of acidity and deeper fruit like blackberry make it a good pairing with steak and hearty soup. The more Douro I drink the more my bucket list trip to Spain will include a side trip to Portugal's wine regions. — 10 years ago
Dry fruity flavor with a mild finish, a blend of Pinot grapes from 3 regions — 11 years ago
Yes 93. Extremely smooth and dark purple. Cherries, Blackberries, clove, wet moss, cedar, pine, and tobacco. Resembles an $80 bottle from the mountains.
Winemaker Notes
Dark and rich, the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas and flavors of blackberry and ripe plum, with hints of clove and earthiness. Notes of brown spice and vanilla enhance the palate for a lusciously full mouthfeel, culminating in a long finish. 7% Petit Verdot, 1.5% Petite Sirah, 1.5% Cabernet Franc.
Since 1978, William Hill Winery has produced wines from the cool southern regions of Napa Valley, including the Silverado Bench and the Carneros districts. The winery specializes in Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, producing Reserve and Napa Valley bottlings. Chardonnay grown in the cool climate and well-drained soils of Carneros typically offer brighter, more intense flavors and higher acidity than grapes grown in the richer soils and warmer temperatures at the upper end of the Napa Valley. The result are Chardonnays that are highly complex and multi-layered with crisp, bright flavors. — 8 years ago
Such a lovely interesting wine from regions lesser known. Very affordable fun! — 9 years ago
Classy and elegant light bodied Bojo by one of the regions greats and a master of natural winemaking. — 9 years ago
A different regions expression of Nebbiolo versus classic Barolo. — 10 years ago
Central Otago is supposed to be of the great pinot regions of the world. Lovely, "punchy and fresh". Bright acidity, characteristic of New Zealand — 10 years ago
Drinking better the second day. This has a dusty nose of iron dry earth- the iron giving a slight metallic nose. I also get smoke, dark berries and leather that lays over some herbal notes. This is what I live in a wine and Cahors is one of my favorite regions. — 11 years ago
My go-to wine of the year in southern Rhone region. Contrary to other regions you can always taste and smell a rhone wine from Cairanne, just north of Gigondas. — 12 years ago

This works- fruit from the Hunter and Mclaren Vale, best of both regions, very moorish. — 7 years ago
