Delicious, and a bit on the feminine side with less richness and body as in other editions, which I thought was interesting given the composition. Crowd favorite. — 6 years ago
Not much to say about this benchmark bojo that hasn’t already been said, other than this vintage is a bit darker, denser and less open than others. It’s very enjoyable now with its supple texture, plentiful acid, sweet blackberry, dark cherry, campfire and dank earth flavors. But will hold the rest of these 2-3 more years as it has the potential to be special. — 7 years ago
Weston hosted Friday group today and was it definitely a can’t miss tasting. Wow! Absolutely knocked it out of the park with heavy hitter after heavy hitter. Similar to Wednesday group, all wines are tasted blind.
I really enjoy Ritchie chards, and was actually able to blindly guess this was from Ritchie vineyard. I always get a nuttiness and waxy finish from this vineyard. Happens every time. Bigger texture. You aren’t mistaking this for anything other than Cali chard, and it will almost always be from a top producer. — 7 years ago
Damn good but still way young...layered with roasted earth, black currant and blackberry compote and a good bit of smoke. Warm year so maybe a bit more clunky than other vintages but Dominus is really fabulous!! One of the few Napa wines I really like with serious age....half hour in decanter and candied cherries and red fruits coming out...enjoying this one! — 9 years ago

Dark ink opaque purple red violet color, tart berry, tart black fruit nose, rich, concentrated, black fruit, tart berry, tar palate, long finish. — 11 years ago
Clear blackberry, cherry, and other dark fruit notes. — 6 years ago
[from 750] drinking very well right now (2018). Indescribable? Taste from some other axis of space-time-sense? Custard, melon, pineapple, diesel, bandaid, orange spice. . . — 7 years ago
Our other Thanksgiving wine. A bit dried out, but a lovely bouquet. Good cork. Of the recent Leovilles, I prefer the 78 Barton, and next the 81 Las Cases. This comes in third, but not shabby at all! — 8 years ago
2015 - fruity with a mocha note. A bit of smokiness with each sip. — 8 years ago
Solid, light tasty, not grassy, not fruity. Z & Yooly both like. — 10 years ago
Great wine for the price. High acidity with notes of tobacco and licorice. — 11 years ago
For 12 bucks, this is an awesome value wine. Solid and fruity, but also versatile enough to drink with just about anything you can dish up (or even by itself). — 11 years ago
Moving fuel. 42 year old Tempranillo and a uniquely American delicacy to celebrate Independence Day 🧀 🇺🇸 I’m unpacking boxes and listening to the Padres vs Dodgers so other than the wine I’m full throttle Americana today. The Vina Todonia cork dropped in to the bottle immediately upon contact from the Durand so I was not hopeful....but it’s totally intact and it presents with significant bricking in the decanter with expected brown and red tones and is chock full of secondary notes of burnt fig, savory smoke, cigar and soil. Soft tannins and waning acidity but it seems to be putting on “weight” as the afternoon progresses. Another solid showing from this producer at an advanced age. Great stuff. Happy 4th of July to all!! 🍎 ⚾️ 🍷 ☀️ — 6 years ago
This wine has a very nice fruity body with a bit of a dry finish. Currants come to mind. This is a wine best paired with a mind ready to transcend beyond this temporal realm, through the veil, and into the Void of Distortion! This wine is the palatable equivalent of a saw wave oscillating through the plenum cabling and into your grey matter. One day we will all be consumed by the cubular harbingers. But until that day consider Lodi’s plunger-head wine. On a Tuesday evening it is quite nice. — 6 years ago
Dry but balanced, really good. $14.24 from golden eagle — 7 years ago

Full of flavor and warm tones. — 9 years ago
An earth driven nose with overtones of garrigue. This wine was terroir driven vs fruit driven. Compared to the other vintages I found this wine benefited the least from air. — 10 years ago
Super Tuscan at its finest. Cab elements were in the forefront and the other varietals were a strong supporting cast. Lots of $$$ but worth it at least once or twice. Especially vs Antinori... — 10 years ago
