Like biting my into a perfectly ripe white peach. There is a sense of sweetness, but this is bone dry with perfect acid balance. Moderate complexity, otherwise my rating would be even higher — 7 years ago
Delivers on its promise; rose, saddle leather and dry pencil lead finish. As it opens dark cherry and grip of tannins develop. Enjoyed with salt, pepper, mustard and corriander crusted NY Strip. Joined by Lemon Riccotta Ravioli, grilled red onion rings and Cremini mushrooms — 7 years ago
Sehr Gut! Creamy nectarine and a touch of lemon sorbet. Power packed. Bone dry. Fantastic GG — 7 years ago
Mineral, confectionary. So pure. Cotton candy. Chewy. Spicey. Lots of vineyard peach and length. Very open. Soil is more sandy makes it more open. — 8 years ago
Hell of a way to start a day — 9 years ago
Maybe I've been a bit to exclamatory lately but my lord is this delicious. Perfectly crispy, salty, textured, and fruity. Smells like a Sauv Blanc but tastes like a mix of Grüner and Riesling. Fantastic juice! — 9 years ago
This has got to be the most refreshing red wine I ever had...with jamet CdR trailing shortly behind. No minerals here for contemplation but lord am I high on acid right now! This one's all about the judicious decisions very obviously made by the winemaker here to extract intensely on what most would consider grapes just barely hitting ripeness. Clocking in at a whopping 12% alcohol I could drink this all day everyday. Ultra clean strawberry dark cherry lemonade this one. Highly pleasurable and highly unique. Ate it with just about everything in my pantry just for fun and all of it worked. Definite recommendation. Another one up for american winemakers 👍👌 — 9 years ago
Good lord I could drink this all day. Low alcohol sparking Riesling from Erdener. Four brothers work together to keep the history of their family winemaking alive. Bright, nice minerality, easy to drink (trocken not Brut). Best bang for your buck! — 11 years ago
Oh my lord. What an extremely balanced, smooth wine. The aroma/nose is perfect, youthful fruits and berries, oak; but the taste is where it's really at. Sublime, smooth, nothing prominent, nothing hidden, all of them sitting in a equal row, like an extremely high end pair of headphones, nearly clinical. High alcohol content, low viscosity, translucent ruby color, presence of gas. What an absolutely incredible wine -- and it's from California!!! — 6 years ago
2013 Vintage- Oh good lord! Opened this the night we found out we passed WSET Advanced w/merit! It was everything I wanted it to be and more. An exceptional wine from one of my top 3 Oregon producers! #pinot #rexhillvineyards — 7 years ago
A rare find and so welcome. Aroma of stewed pears and cloves, palate is all bruised fruit with lemon curd and caramel, finish is long and thirst quenching because the acid rings clear. More like these on lists please! — 7 years ago
Smacks of cherry cola on the nose. But the palate rings of strawberry, cranberry and rose petals with a delightfully earthy finish. Looks massive, but is delicate and graceful yet still built to last. This can easily go a decade. — 7 years ago
Living up to its known for being "Lord of the Vines". To those who adore a momentous affiliation of rustic and refinement, this is your match. Incredible. — 8 years ago
Disgorged 2011. Everything you could imagine in a white wine besides oxidation. Tropical fruits, citrus fruits, toast, bread, caramel, butter, pastries, cream, salt. You name it and it's here with the bubbles to top it off. The aroma is intoxicating, the flavor is gripping. The finish reminded me of the last guiberteau breze clos de carmes I had ; lemon meringue with a resonating and smooth attack lasting seemingly forever for juice. Good lord yes 💦 — 9 years ago
Lots of flavor — 6 years ago
That was another astonishing experience!! I was aware that the 1996 vintage was superb...
...and this wine was nothing less than fantastic...bright copper and clear signs of a well developed wine for its rings.
On nose, black olives, leather, subtle oak, mint and some earthness.
In mouth, complex, high acidity, well balanced and smooth tannins, black olives, mint, leather, great freshness, mineral and powerful with a long end. — 6 years ago
Woah best of tonight's trio, gracefully aged. Everything I want in vintage Bordeaux. Leather, bell pepper, hints of pepper and spice. Elegant finish. Oh lord this bottle went too fast — 7 years ago
Scents of orange blossom, pear, apricot, apple, taste of gummy peach rings, high acidity — 8 years ago
Jammy with dark berries, leather and a touch of anise. Australia has fallen off the map but Three Rings brings it back!! — 8 years ago
Big, complex nose of spice, terrific and juicy with big tannins and huge power. Very special. — 9 years ago
Wow. Hello! Unbelievable complex flavors- beeswax, citrus, ethereal trace of Manzanilla Sherry. Lord what else? Oh yes, 4000 feet elevation, pre-phylloxera, limited sulphur. Crazy good! Nice pick Chris! — 9 years ago
Good lord. Melting funky cheese emerges out of hints of smoke. Drink this!!!! — 10 years ago

What is this? A Gevrey-Chambertin in Phalz, crazy? Dark cherries, light stemmy notes on nose and palate, spicy minerals, wow! Needs at least a few hours of decanting and it's totally alive, very clean finish, great acidity. I should have bought more... — 6 years ago
