Tina Marie Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012

Anthill Farms Tina Marie Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012

A little cloudy in the glass. Fresh raspberries and cherries with great acidity. This is a like-or-dislike kind of wine. A great pinot noir for a hot summer day.

Domaine Leflaive

Les Pucelles Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2000

Straw gold color. Caressing aromatic nose of lemon curd, river stone, spices and a little apricot. Really good balance of structure, fruit and acidity in the mouth. Lasting finish. Textbook white burg. — 7 years ago

Keefer Ranch Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2014

Love the intense strawberry and rhubarb tones I find from this vineyard. This vintage also showing a little more black cherry, blood orange, spice, and more sandalwood. Balanced, poised, ready to go out of the gates. — 9 years ago

Very good. But not what I would have thought for a Sonoma coast. Can't put my finger on it - nose was great. But a little flat on the tongue. Sunday night - football, pizza and Merry. — 10 years ago

I brought this great chard, although a great experience I find this Kistler to need another year or two in bottle. In a group setting with Kosta Browne and J. Rochioli single vyd Chards that have that forward fruit component . I need to bring Kistler by itself and with a little bottle age.. Still have 4 or 5 of this vintage at home. CB — 11 years ago

"Giuseppe & Luisa" Russian River Valley Zinfandel 2013

Great wine but definitely needs a little aging. A whopping 16.3% abv. Fruit, little bit of spice, honey? On the nose. Pretty jammy, nice red licorice, Burnt sugar, cocoa. Better wines for the money, but was fun — 7 years ago

These suckers are the epitome of jammy zin to me. Fun in their own way. The Jackass bottlings are the way to go if you can get them.

@Shay A I totally agree. A little too much for my liking, but I’m glad I gave this guy a try. Been wanting to try a Jackass bottling for quite some time. A friend of mine had a bottle of the 1999 vintage this past weekend and said it was stupid good.

@Arden Barnett : Very cool and very jealous. I’ve got current release Jackass Zin (can’t remember if it’s the Jackass Hill or Jackass Vineyard) but I don’t plan on touching it for a while. That ‘99 was probably firing on all cylinders.

Kosta Browne

Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2013

This Kosta Browne was a solid Pinot. Very fruit driven for a Russian River. This was a 1/2 bottle, decanted a 1.25 hours. It had a wonder nose of black fruit, had a very faint scent of a dark salted Carmel, with a little 5-spice. The palate was more red fruit, with a hint of hint of anise/roasted fennel, it lingered with a shot finish. — 9 years ago

I have a preference for Burgundy or Chardonnay that has little or no wood influence. All tank or neutral wood influence. This is nice. Green apple, creme brulee, honey notes but, too much new oak for my taste preference. Score reflects their style craft more than my enjoyment. Hedy’s second course, Asparagus, Egg, Parmesan, Truffle Vinaigrette, Prosciutto Crisps . Not much of an Asparagus fan but, Hedy’s preparations generally give me good cause to enjoy things I normally don’t enjoy. @PlateAndBottle — 7 years ago
