Absolutely enjoyed this in an - surprisingly - Irish pub ! They only had this wine for Cabernet selection and the bartender recommended it too. — 11 years ago

With all the bad pub about the 2011 California vintage I wanted to try the Merry Edwards that I got on sale. My store of choice originally had it priced at $79.99 and I bought it for $29.99, WHAT! That's right $29.99, lucky me and what a good discovery. On the nose I get black cherry, black raspberry some clove and caramel nuances. On my first taste my eyes lit up and a big smile came to my lips. There is sweet dark fruit of black cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and cranberry. There is a smooth silky mouth feel with medium tanning and lip smacking acidity. The well balanced melding of all aspects in this wine makes for an enjoyable evening. — 11 years ago

This is the house wine at our local pub. It's is very very drinkable. Smooth, a little bit dry with just a hint of peppery taste. Very yum! — 11 years ago
