Yummy, smooth, pleasant, engaging Zinfandel.
Sheila and Tim brought this one over to the lake house. Robert grilled pizzas. Rob and Phil with us. — 8 years ago

Discreet bouqet with red berries and licorice. Long, smooth and elegant. Subdued earthy palate. Excellent mouth feel. Very good shit. — 8 years ago
A sweet tasting old farm house finish with a touch of procrastinating meandering outlook. — 9 years ago
Pretty decent wine for the price! Bold and flavorful!
Recently brought this to a friend's lake house... It was raved about! Upping my rating :) — 9 years ago
Light ruby in color. It’s from Canada. And it smells of dry grasses and wild flowers. Or maybe those are just the smells stuck in my nose. It’s family time here at the lake house in Canada, with all the tension and buried hurts family time can entail. Enter this Pinot noir. The scent of violet, the taste of rose petals, tart cherries, and red currants. It’s new and familiar at the same time. Brings me right back to myself. Families are families, for better or for worse. Then wine, old grapes made in a new way, complex and fleeting, helps give you the long view and takes you right back home. — 6 years ago
Kalamata olives, dried black cherries, baker’s chocolate, rusted jalopy, black pretzel, tar, and dried violets. Energetic aromatically; evocative of a rustic stone house with a variegated garden of herbs, and perhaps straw roofing. Plum moves forward in a good way rounding out the basket. Powdered cherry and blood orange with the finest tannins seem to liquify into a delicious balancing act between fruit and earth and herbs. Ripe plum, dried red cherries, black cherry juice, black olives, blood orange over grilled meat, sassafras, sage, tarragon, black truffle, chicory and walnut. Not a traditional pairing with Californian lamb from sustainable vineyards in Lake County, but revalatory. #Barolo #nebbiololife #nebbiololover #nebbioli #cabutto #tenutalavolta #docg #piemonte #piedmont — 7 years ago
This is a blend of; 87% Cabernet, 10% Petit Verdot and 3% Syrah. On the nose, black cassis, baking spices, smoke, black oil, loamy soils, grilled meats and fresh, dark, fragrant florals. The fruit are beautifully round, rich and gorgeously sexy. Blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, plum, black raspberries and poached strawberries. Sweet dark spices, tobacco, graphite, dry stem, mint, black licorice, dry crushed rocks & loamy soils with a well balanced, structured, elegantly round, rich, long finish. 9.5 with room for more as it bottle ages. Photos of; exterior of their quaint tasting room, their wine dinner lake house used for their dinners, one of their beautiful vineyard and Darcey Fugman-Small and (far right) Rick Small. — 8 years ago
Smells jammy but goes down smooth. A little spicy. Easy to drink for any new friend of reds. — 9 years ago
A very nice Sauvignon Blanc (2013) from an excellent Sonoma winery owned by the first Mexican family to produce wine in the USA (a great American success story). They have been a wine if choice in several White House dinners. Clean, crisp with a nice floral finish make this excellent with almost any meal - sushi to seafood. Note: if in the Sonoma wine country - don't miss the winery as they are friendly, knowledgable and have some terrible wines - red & white. — 9 years ago
Lake house - Excellent after dinner delight, butterscotch and slight acid throughout. — 7 years ago
Great. 1996 vintage enjoyed in August 2017 at our Lake house in Michigan with trip tip and salmon. 21 year old wine and tasting fine. — 8 years ago

Melons, cherries, citrus...watermelon for sure. Robert notes Grapefruit in the citrusy notes.
