Château d'Ampuis Côte-Rôtie Syrah 2009

This was all about "dark " -color, fruit, flavors. For me the jury is out if this will come around to from where it comes from or remains lost. — 10 years ago

Sauternes Sémillon Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2011

Kath loved this....jury still out for me.... Flavor amazing...honeysuckle, white dried peach, orange blossom honey. Pineapple leaves on the nose, very interesting. Very temperature sensitive to max flavor. Just ordered another bottle — 11 years ago

Charles Heintz Vineyard Syrah 2013

Definitly woodsy with a good amount of acidity. I get some apple in there. Should have left it open longer than I did. Overall. Very good. Jury still out on the food pairing. I'm thinking Jamaican #redwine #red #americansyrah #syrah #syrahs — 11 years ago

Weissburgunder ** Trocken 2012

The jury is out. This can't be a German white burgundy as the name implies because burgundy refers to the region...TBDrunk. The verdict...mildly "cheesy" inn that pleasant way, nice minerally aftertaste. Basically it's an Evie-pleasing wine - reminded me of a Riesling (I've never met one I didn't like). "Weissburgunder" is the German name for Pinot blanc - merci Wikipedia! — 11 years ago

Le Bon Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2011

Only one way to celebrate not being selected for jury duty...a purple bottle! Surely a purple bottle of burgundy will turn the tide. Right? — 11 years ago

Like this one a lot. It's changing my mind about the Pinot noir game. Used to think Oregon was the way to go for value, but this is straight delicious at a reasonable price.

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

The jury is still deliberating on this one. It wasn't bad, I was just expecting more. More dark fruit, more finish, more intensity...just more. Not sure if those things come with letting the wine open up more. — 11 years ago
