Had this at Velvet. Really good. Not as fruity and smooth. — 5 months ago
Excellent cab, very dark notes and fruits. Smoothed out the longer it was opened so the smoke and charcoal dissipated. Bought at smyrna beverage warehouse for $99. — 5 months ago
1994 vintage. Trick or treat. Decanted and tasted multiple times over two hours. Light-medium body. Fantastic, old-school BDX nose. Somewhat linear as someone else proffered but still plenty of life. At least another half-decade in this place. Was just missing a little fruit in the front/mid-palates. Cork was solid but juice tasted like a second bottle might have some variation on the positive side. May find out sooner rather than later. 10.31.23. — 7 months ago
Deep ruby red , light bodied , medium tannins , cherry & plum off the nose , strong , — a year ago
A friend said he would bring a Peter Michael red,so I thought it would be fun to bring a white.
The opening nose is predominantly citrus and jasmine, not the ripe stone fruits I was expecting. Golden apple, pear, roasted nuts, and hint of brioche followed as it opened up in the glass. Viscous but not heavy on the palate with well judged acidity. Beautiful balance between richness and delicacy. Long mineral driven finish.

Bold, reasonably smooth with the first glass, but even better on the next day. 2010 vintage in April 2019. — 5 years ago
Soft and excellent for the price! — 8 years ago
Now this is a great wine. Dark in color, almost black with a purple rim.
Magnificent nose with blueberries, figs, plums, and herbs.
Sweet candies on the palate with blueberries, cranberry, dried figs, raisins, peppercorn.
Big, bold and beautiful with gorgeous legs.
Smooth and sexy long finish with bold tannins and ripen fruits.
Great right out of the bottle. After 2 hours in the decanter, chewy tannins on the finish. This is not my first, and definitely not my last. Very consistent from year to year.

Still a bit tanniny that may need decanting, depending on how you want to enjoy it. — 5 months ago
The 2021 Pinot Noir SLH is a very pretty appellation-level offering. Dried herbs, tobacco, cedar and crushed autumn leaves add lovely complexity and nuance to this soft, understated Pinot from Hahn. There's plenty of subtlety and overall appeal here. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)

1.5 hour decant(decent chunky sediment). A majestic deep purplish magenta color with a little bricking. Always have a soft spot for aged Cain Five and Chris's old school savory style(embrace a little brett!). On the nose: stunning nose of worn leather, funky wet earth, red fruit, touch of menthol, nutty. Taste: Restrained, silky, elegant, balanced wine with dusty earth, herbaceous, currants, plum, cedarwood, and peppery dark chocolate medium finish. YUM! Hitting its stride with time to go. — 7 months ago
Deep dark sensuous nose. A little sweeter on the palate than I prefer. — 2 years ago
Pop and pour yesterday. Notes from day 2 open. On the nose: soft smoke and chalk, apple, lemon, a hint of reduction...lovely nose. On the palate: chalk, sour apple, lemon, loads of wet stone...fantastic acidity and good density...maybe my favorite incarnation of this wine so far... — 3 years ago

Beautiful evening with a beautiful bottle of wine and a beautiful woman — 6 years ago
Everything in tune here. Beautiful nose. Great fruit and earth. Soft tannins. Reminiscent of some great South American Bordeaux blends I've had with that hint of bandaid on the nose. — 8 years ago
Excellent. Deep rich flavor. Tannin on the finish. — 10 years ago
One more example of why I obsess over 1991 California cabs. Your nose is greeted with the whiff of an antique furniture store that soon gives way to red fruit, cedar and earth. The first thing you notice when you start to drink this gem is the vibrant acidity. The palate follows the nose only to be joined by slow resolving tannins. You cannot ask for a more graceful package. — 5 months ago
It's good. But for the price...

1979 vintage. Not the biggest Jordan fan but this one hit before the mass California hysteria. Decanted and tasted after 10 mins-2 hours. Plenty of cedar, tannins and otherwise, structural components. Solid showing. May pick up a few of these for the holidaze. In best Darth Vader/James Earl Jones voice..."Impressive." 9.20.23. — 8 months ago
