Dark colour. Intense cherry note with a hint of oak. Ripe, soft, balanced and sweet tannins and yet with descent acidity that gives it a bit of freshness. After taste isn't long, not lingering. — 8 years ago
At the beginning of the fourteenth century, Castilla and León participated in the Reconquista, the re-conquest of the spanish peninsula from its medieval muslim rulers.
Seven centuries later, Bodegas Mauro reconquers our palate.
Absolutely stunning from the cristal clear dark ruby, subtle, but flirty nose, to the rich, red fruit balanced with formal tannins, and a dash of cassis.
The incredibly silky descent, and long, beautiful aftertaste must have the Vega Sicilia family on edge. They simply cannot deliver this craftsmanship at this price.
Unforgettable! — 9 years ago
Good showing! Shy for the first hour. Slightly ethereal body, but beautiful spice notes and ability to hang with peppery steak. Would imagine this is in gentle descent — 9 years ago
Sept 25, 2015. Purchased at San Zenone wine store to celebrate John's Mt Grappa descent. W/ j2, Jim, Don. Organic. Dry, lovely. — 10 years ago
Very descent Meursault — 10 years ago
Excellent blend, descent body, a little sweet probably due to its young age very good companion to the superb stake of Chicago cut stakehouse — 10 years ago
So oaky that I feel like a lumberjack licking a fresh cut tree. Sits on your palette as easy as a hummingbird resting on your eyelash. Silken (like Lauman) finish with a toe warming descent. — 10 years ago
Wow. My descent into Pinot love is accelerating. — 12 years ago
Descent but a bit bitter! — 12 years ago
Our favorite riesling and the start of our descent into sweet wines. We consider it to be sweet, but not too sweet. The wine steward at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Las Vegas said it is not a true riesling, though I do not remember what style he said it was. — 8 years ago
Very descent Malbec. Not too earthy. It's sharp and goes great with steak — 9 years ago
Without doubt, at the price-point, this is my standout 2009 Bordeaux.
On the nose it's opulent with notes of treacle toffee, dark chocolate and coffee.
The palette is textured and framed with tannins of royal descent. The wine is dense and velvety with black cherries kirsch and a hint of lychees.
A very modern Bordeaux (global warming?) — 9 years ago
Descent full body wine with excellent flavor. Recommend it — 10 years ago
Great quality to price ratio. Thanks to Wine Trends and Myanah for introducing this at last night's tasting event. Being of Hungarian descent and hearing the count's story made this even more enjoyable for me. — 10 years ago
2008. Strong but descent. Love it! — 10 years ago
Very Descent. Needed some time to open up. — 12 years ago
The Pinot Noir Rose is a beautiful rosé in color. There is a wonderful fragrance of fresh strawberries and whit flowers, whit hints of watermelon. There is a crisp, refreshing and light mouth feel. Just a little lighter than I usually like. Good strawberries, a bit of watermelon and hints of peach. A descent length in the mouth but all in the front and little on the backend. This wine will do well on a sunny summer day with a bit of a chill to it. — 12 years ago
Paired with lobster dumplings, descent Chad for $31 — 8 years ago
Last longer than most reds after opening (3 days was still descent) — 9 years ago
Descent flavor, dark fruits, not very long finish. Can stay in the bottle for a few years, good value. — 9 years ago
Pretty descent wine. Full body,m but not too dry. Highly recommended for those who like red full/med body wines — 9 years ago
Always a crowd fave-dry, structured even, a Willy Wonka descent into...pearness. — 9 years ago
2013 vintage. Nice nose with rich red fruits and fresh oak. Forward wine, jammy with descent complexity. Hides the high alcohol well. Crowd pleaser. — 10 years ago
Very descent California Cab excellent companion to the cobe stake! — 10 years ago
Embraced in oak hugs with soothing fingers of vanilla (not Ice) tickling your tongue. Light Weight finish combined with an Angioplasticy descent. — 10 years ago
Butter, pear.. And flowers.. Hmmm what kind I don't know. Descent bottle for a large winery. Low acid makes this chard delightfully good — 10 years ago
Venturing to South America to try my hand at a Torrontes. There is a beautiful nose on this bottle. The fruit is bold and tickling the senses with peach, grapefruit, passion fruit and tangerines. On the palate the peach comes true along with the tangerines. There is a good minerality with a descent acidity but not over bearing. — 12 years ago
Kalamota
A very very descent cab from this part of the world. Inky enough, dry and good taste of berries. Will work this in to a regular rotation during the cold months. — 8 years ago
