OMG--this old
#Latour is so massive that you could eat it with a fork!
One of the greatest vintages of the 20th century, and, even now, this wine has years of life ahead of it!
And to think that I used to work in a wine shop that had cases piled up ten high priced at $50 per bottle! #1959 — 10 years ago

The way a wine should be. Balanced and smooth. Delicious mix of merlot, cabernet and sangiovese flavors. Blend: 50% Merlot, 30% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Not overwhelming flavors. Silky smooth and round tannins. Beautiful finish. 13.5% abv — 9 years ago

Tip top quality. Dark and dirty tones on the nose lead to an eyeopening showcase of depth of flavor carried with such grace and softness. Pure artistry and craftmanship. Homerun, slamdunk, hole in one. — 10 years ago

Great wine! Little no no acidity. No indigestion after drinking. Light tannins with a wet finish. Flavor is good despite the alcohol nose with little alcohol taste. Good deal at $4 from Kroger. — 9 years ago
