Chateau St. Jean

Benoist Ranch Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2014

Smokey, tobacco, raspberries, spice... Very well done big, complex and engaging Pinot Noir. Plums, some barnyard notes and quite a bit of fruit overall but with a decided oak finish.

Trump ought to resign but it will take the courts, Congress, the media and most of all the people to badger him and his frail ego until he bails out of his criminal reign of terror.

Wine helps us get through these days.

My recollection is that it wasn't inexpensive.

Domaine le Sang des Cailloux

Cuvée Azalaïs Vacqueyras Red Rhone Blend 2006

These wines separate the folks who drink wine from those that appreciate art in liquid form. I've met this vigeron before and he's humble but wicked talented. This wine was ready but still needed an hour decant. Funk and first floor burnt cherry in color resembling more cdp characteristics but definitely showing the deterrent terror. What a wonderful effort. — 9 years ago

Château L'Arrosée

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2000

This is exactly what the doctor ordered. Well aged, but there is no rush to drink it. Started out a little tight and lean but opened up beautifully in the glass. Has an intermixed sense if fruit and terror throughout the finish. Dark fruit more on the forefront with more scorched earth, asphalt and charcoal one the finish. Surprisingly minimal bricking . Can cellar for 7-10 more years — 10 years ago

Château Féret-Lambert

Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Lots of fruit on the nose . Big black currents on the pallet . French wine that drinks like a California red . Would like a little more terror with it but other than that it drinks great — 7 years ago

Isn't it nice when you go to the grocery store and you see this vintage on the shelf? So drinkable, so terror driven. Minerality and salinity all day long... — 8 years ago

Nicely balance wine but not much sense of terror. Elegant finish. Possibly a bit young as may be over powered by richer foods — 10 years ago

Terror driven with plenty of oak and fruit to make this wine a powerhouse. Slate, wet pebbles, creamy vanilla, peach, and stone fruit. I love the verve to this wine. — 10 years ago
