Exquisite. Balanced. Floral notes and balanced with white and pale yellow fruits. Enjoy alone or with food. Just so elegant. — 4 years ago

Roses and cedar with a bit of cranberry. Love Vietti! — 8 years ago
2005 Renato Ratti Marcenasco Barolo. In a good place. Rose, tar, blackfruit, brambles, leather, Rosemary. Still a little tannic but paired so well with a ribeye. One bottle left. — 9 years ago
2001 vintage. Medium garnet. Quite fresh fruit forward raspberry and red plums. Roses and heavy oil fumes. Touches of smoke and woody notes. On the palate, very smooth, silky. Medium bodied. Medium plus acidity, high tannins - very integrated and mouth puckering. Finish is edging to long - fruit forward and cherry liqueur notes. Very decent and drinking well. Would personally keep for another 5+ years before opening as this is still evolving nicely. Still lacks soul - a little too manufactured for my palate. — 10 years ago

The 2016 Blanc de Noirs Presle is an explosion of aromas, flavors and textures. A Champagne of tremendous aromatic intensity, the Presle screams with Pinot character, certainly more so than the earlier wines in this range. The Presle emerges from a tiny parcel of measuring 0.25 hectares planted with 10 different Pinot clones over 15 rows. It is beguiling, nuanced and so full of character. I love the energy here. Zero dosage. Disgorged: April, 2020. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2020) — 4 years ago
Had the 2009 vintage in July 2019 in Kairon with family for birthday celebration. Excellent. — 6 years ago
Still tight and compact good signs for traditionally made Barolo. Notes of raspberry, spice and licorice along with tar show up after several hours in the glass. Just needs a bit more age.

Bottle variance! Last one was bit maderized but this one was showing much better. Soft mature ripe fruit of peaches, compote and bread yeast toast. Enjoyed it. — 8 years ago
Alba's finest at Vito's in Pacific Grove. Tar and roses with sour cherry highlights, complementing pasta and heavy meat sauce. The wine continued to open up during a long meal, and a long finish developed. Loved this wine! — 8 years ago
Good times in Nashville. — 9 years ago
Third rating for this: started at 10 degrees , and warmed up to around 15-18 in a warm 29 degrees tropical Singapore. Was fresh, crisp, lemon-like at first, followed by zesty mandarin orange flavours that finally matured to mellow honey apricots. Best of all coloured like the upcoming Chinese New Year - perfect gold. — 4 years ago
One of the smoothest, most flavorful whiskies I have tried. — 5 years ago
Wonderful! Tar and roses for real. — 10 years ago
Decanted for 2 hours and it starts to open up. Tar, wood, floral, some sort of sweet aroma undertone, fruity on the palate. still tastes vibrant and young! — 12 years ago

Still a baby and showing bright red cherry, rose petals and slight tar nuance. After an hour decant, more aroma starts to show through - Fennel frond, anise, mushroom. An elegant and traditional style. Give it another 10+ years. — 3 years ago
