Just amazing! Bill & I love it! — 8 years ago
California with a very judicial hand. Did best to keep it fresh. Sorta won. Simple. Fun. — 8 years ago
Drink this in 5+ years and it will be a 10/10. Amazing balance for a 2015 Syrah. High acid and sharp, grippy tannins. Will be buying more to lay down for a while. — 9 years ago
Loved it. May be my favorite Bedrock of all I've tried. — 10 years ago
Napa Cab Franc is fun! It has a ton of personality and is approachable and food friendly. I highly recommend giving it a try. — 10 years ago
Ridiculously well priced wine at Trader Joe's. Picked it up for risotto. Much sweeter than anticipated, but still quite nice for $7. — 11 years ago
Perfect with red pastas, sautéed crimini mushrooms, and even meaty pizzas. Because of the affordable price, I will probably stock up. I now understand why it is always sold out on this app. — 11 years ago
Amazing wine would not let it age past 2006 still maintains its body well but past 2006 I think would be too much age. — 11 years ago
Glad this one made it- mature, a little too ripe and died after 45 minutes #earthquakestains — 12 years ago
I liked it best with several hours in the decanter, which surprised me. Will check back in sometime next year. — 13 years ago
Delicious Pinot. Well balanced fruit with dark cherry flavors and soft tannins. It was even better on day 2. — 7 years ago
Took an hour to open but when it did.... — 8 years ago
Oh so balanced. So balanced as to border on boring but more than not object-able. Plus the non-boring bits: black pepper, green pepper, stewed blueberries with thyme (an obscure reference but try it and you'll see). This wine had just enough oomph and earth to lift it beyond a berry and tannin balanced beauty to a balanced beauty queen. — 9 years ago
I had very high expectations for this wine. I had heard a lot of very good things about Bedrock. This was my first one.
It came out of the bottle hot. Despite a couple of hours, it remained mostly hot. Strawberry and cassis on the nose. Definite American oak. A slightly bitter and metallic finish.
I was surprised to read the back label that claimed this was cool climate. It doesn't feel like that at all.... — 10 years ago

If honeysuckle were made out of slate and you could drink it, this would be a very close approximation. — 11 years ago
Mellow and smooth we take it. I feel the need for food with this beverage and fortunately some sauerkraut sandwiches and hand rolls did ok for simple finger foods...but I feel like some more meaty food is needed here to flesh out the better nuances available in this drink, and some rice, of course. Preparedness is key, be forewarned. Greatness abounds and I was not prepared to handle this beautiful woman the way she wanted. — 11 years ago
Though it didn't have the usual buttery oakiness I've come to expect from Mer Soleil Chardonnay, I was thrilled to taste such rich fruitiness. Silver comes bottled in a "cement" bottle to remind us that it was aged in small concrete tanks from France. This allows, like oak, a trace of oxygen to seep in which helps to enhance the flavor. Very bright fresh fruit characters. It was opened at our home in Bensalem during a romantic Valentine's Day dinner with 2 other couples. — 12 years ago
Took forever to get but well worth it! My new favorite — 7 years ago
What a steal this wine is. Great aromatic intensity and rather expansive on the palate with a very persistent finish. More green, herbal qualities to this vintage, but well-rounded with fragrant white flowers, piercing peaches,
grapefruit pith and a hint of salinity. Nervy, high-acid, herbal and rather complex. An ideal accompaniment to just about any fish, and with enough savory and vegetal component to match well with challenging pairings such as asparagus (which I tried, and it was excellent). — 8 years ago
I know I should have waited but I just had to have it with smoked pork shoulder, pulled pork. it was near perfect. — 9 years ago
It needs to be decanted. Elegant black cherries, baking spices, soft leather, and hint of eucalyptus. Silky tannins. Medium to medium plus finis. — 10 years ago
I was really surprised to see beer bottle cap on a wine bottle. So it was unique for me as well as it was my first wine from Hawke's bay. Lifted with passionfruit and other tropical fruits and lime, floral and grassy notes as well. Rich texture. Long finish. Lively and very refreshing. — 11 years ago
Everything you want and need it do be! Thanks Ricardo Betts. — 12 years ago

An absolute beauty. The perfume on this thing is exquisite. Violets, spicy pepper, and smokey bacon fat. Palate has a nice twist of funk at this early stage and ends with a solid tannic presence. I would blind this against any american syrah and guarantee it would hold its own, craziest part is it will only continue to develop. — 7 years ago
