Notes of musk and Lychees. A palate of pure Turkish Delight. A varietally pure and accurate rendition of Gewürztraminer. This Wine was one of the reasons that Mike Hayes was awarded Australian winemaker of the year last week by the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology. The first Queenslander to win this award. Tasted again 29 weeks later with consistent notes. A dead giveaway for Gewürztraminer if tasted blind. — 6 years ago

We are testing this between two glasses! I prefer the Jamesse by far (although the shape is there on this glass....I am not convinced it is truly Crystal).

As for this Bubbly..I have waited months for its arrivaI and I am so thrilled!! This is a glass of total refinement..tangerine..cotton candy..minerals...red berries..Brioche...just super delicious!! I was able to acquire two bottles of this...will let the next one age several years!!

Blanc de Blancs, no dose, l'Eclapart. Wine geek trifecta. Nose is a symphony, wet earth, mineral, salty, tree bark? Fascinating aromas. Palate is dry, forceful, yeasty and tangy. Long and intense. Concentrated and intense.

Day 2 Update - Yeasty somewhat broad and mineral nose. Some brioche as well. Nice. Palate is razor sharp with terrific precision and minerality. Really lovey delineation of flavors. Great. Delicate and complex yet forcefully dry. Incredible. — 8 years ago

The '14 Michael David Symphony is frizzante in the glass, showing some fine bubbles around the rim. The golden color looks nice, while the nose gives up some muted apricot and lanolin notes. There is a savory aroma that cuts right down the middle. On the palate, things get kinda sweet, with apples and lemons - but the acidity is fresh and zippy.
