This is magical. You know when a white is really open for business and showing the benefit not detriment of oxidation? This is that. Compelling and mature and probably in its best spot. Started off as a aperitif and became a food wine and something for contemplation too over a few hours. Great work! — 5 years ago
Ohhhh texture!!! — 6 years ago
Fresh, slightly green (stems?), primary. Warm fermentation? Quite lean on the palate. A bit more fruit would help. Very clear but a bit lacking in beauty or lushness. — 8 years ago
Drinking much younger than expected. Still plenty of fruit and drinking at peak. Should go another 20, no problem! — 6 months ago
Loved this wine! So complex. Brioche, nutty, high acidity. — 3 years ago
So light and pleasant — 6 years ago
No. 2 in the Vosne Romanee bracket. Some spirity oak notes. A sweetness to the palate with drying fine Tannins. Re- tasting:- Not quite up to the others in this bracket in terms of weight. A little alcoholic and clumsy in this company. My least pointed at 95 points but still a Gold Medal! — 6 years ago
Very reductive — 8 years ago
Stinky, reductive, needs lots of air & time to breath. Funky cab franc which many won't like. — 9 years ago

Wonderful blend of grapes that results in a champagne of note. — 5 years ago
Low yields in Northern Rhône 2013, but the quality of the fruit is prevalent here. Structured and well-integrated fine grained tannins at the five year mark. The nose explodes out of the glass with finesse and doused complexities. Definitive Syrah nuances of black raspberries, black plums, black olives, fresh cut violets, cracked black pepper, Indian spices, grilled and smoked meats, and stone dust. Light weight but packs a continuous release of flavors. Nose and palate changes from fruit to floral to spicy to meaty. As you move to different areas and rooms the wine changes. The more air it gets, the more meat starts hanging out. Complex indeed for a $20 bottle. Great showing. — 6 years ago
