Very refreshing! Great acidity, light tannins, citrus / apple flavor — 8 years ago
An impossible Rose to get, but thanks to @Henrik Poulsen I got some along with an even better story. We will be trying his Rose in two weeks with a bunch of friends. I'm sure it will be as good. Had this during the crazy heat wave a few weeks back. It made having no a/c bearable. — 8 years ago

Oh heck. I wish I had more. I don't know Aussie wine but don't think that would make a big diff in how to interpret this oner. It is an individual and a nice one at that.
It is smooth and merlot Berry then POW there are your Gewurtztraminer spices and whoa. Despite my hatred of the color of yellow I can dig it. Yowza. — 10 years ago

Wow - that was fun / pop and pour a 2001 Syrah and had some funk but quickly it opened to display why Alban makes such wonderful wines
Spicy and meaty with full bodied and complex structure - aroma of jammy fruits but no heat no burn and no funk / it can sing
Smile and world will smile with you and this baby sure helps me smile - drink if you have - it is on the downslope of age — 8 years ago

Fantastic! Intense, smoky, earthy, and sexy. Spices and cherries to boot. Pop and pour. Paired beautifully with venison. Juicy, creamy, and sweet finish. At its peak! — 8 years ago

Not bad for $11.97! Excellent with roasted tomato and braised bacon pasta at the Chez Benzique Oakland pop-up. — 9 years ago
Double gold winning Pinot - unique, balanced and ready to drink or age a bit longer. Definitely one to take home! — 10 years ago
The 2011 is not ready so there on the 2012 in June. Gorgeous deep fruit, 10 was a hot year. Deep sweet cherry. Post ferment max station gives more savoury notes. Hint of green, herbaceous note. Minerally, earthy. Wowzers. Textured, complete, powerful. earthy, smoky, probably the best PN in Marlborough. Meaty, animal length. Wow! — 11 years ago
Aromas of anise, leather and cedar. Loads of black fruit and firm tannins. Glad I have 4 more bottles of this. — 12 years ago

It's perfect Sauvignon Blanc from NZ. — 8 years ago
Had a different wine in mind yet pulled this one. Just a baby but o' so good! Black jam in the glass. Nose of cold smoked meat, minerals and spice. Light, yet full bodied mouthfeel leads to a sip that has bright red fruits, minerals and spice. That same spice, Chinese Five Spice rolls on the palate with smoke for a long finish that goes on... — 9 years ago
I found this to be a very enjoyable wine. I was hoping for a little bit more Oak. I'm not quite sure how it would evolve over time. I always find these to be a great pop and pour wine. I never hang on to them too long in my cellar.
I would love feedback from anyone that has aged some of these to see how they evolve.@Ron R @Mike Rowe @David A Lentine @Howard Greenfield — 9 years ago
