Tropical fruit and honey, with bright lemon and yeast notes mid palate, med+acidity still and a spicy finish. Still plenty of life in this one! #chardonnay #whiteburgundy — 8 years ago
Chambers Street got me excited about this producer who is not related or connected with the other Magnien families in Burgundy. The aromatics on this wine permeate their surroundings right out of the bottle and get stronger and more precise over the course of the evening. Perfumed florals & resonant red berry notes. I was surprised by the power on the palate, some darker berry notes hit right away with some silky tannins to frame the sappy, but far from cloying fruit. Texturally, this brings finesse & brightness which augments my salmon & beet salad as well as anything possibly could. A producer well worth paying attention to. — 9 years ago
This is unique. Nose has pumpkin bread, tangy, rich red berries, and moist dark minerality. Mouthfilling flavors feature warm sandstone, plummy blackberryish fruit. Ultra-long finish flashes from unidentifiable flavors to unidentifiable flavors. A wine to contemplate, for sure. Just wow. 500 ml bottle. — 9 years ago

Nicely balanced between citrus, green apple and a touch of caramel and cream. Needs one more year to integrate or a 30 minute decant — 9 years ago

Clear burgundy color. Floral, red fruit nose. Austere red fruit, some red licorice, and some earthy dryness on the back end. Lingers a bit. Tight. Not sure what it will do after being open. — 10 years ago
Thick bubblegum and earth + alcohol ! Superb. — 10 years ago
OMG! Lovely nose, cocoa dust, juicy blackberries, tobacco, spice and oak. Have to let it open up a bit longer! Deb and I spent a few hours tasting barrels with Stephane in Ampuis in 2011. What an amazing experience! — 10 years ago
