Was everything I expected and then some... Expected the elegance, the graphite, the earthiness, the black fruits, the finish (oh, the finish). But did not expect the 21 year old wine to still be so tight right out of the bottle. A 1 hour decanting improved this wine tremendously. Drank May 2016. — 9 years ago
The best Syrah I know. Grab a grilled steak and enjoy the long lasting finish. — 9 years ago
Smells of cherry oak and some light tobacco. Very full bodied with some port notes actually and smooth finish. Somewhat acidic and would do well with food. — 10 years ago
Great, inexpensive wine — 12 years ago
Not a huge fan of Sauvignon Blanc, but this is fantastic. Crisp, but not just another simplistic Sauv Blanc, it has character. — 7 years ago
Was actually Malbec only.

Amazing how this white, mostly Viognier and Marsanne, is completely dominated automatically and on the palate by the 13% Petit Manseng. — 10 years ago

First taste reminded me of Firenze in that the leather belts and purses were on the nose. Lots of floral arrangements now, solid round, very nice as always. Shout out to my 1 follower @Bill Bender ... it's my birthday and my goal is to be drinking at your level next year!

I was skeptical at first...inky black and 15.3 ABV, but the wine is well balanced with plenty of freshness and lift. Just the ticket with tonight's daube de boeuf. — 9 years ago
