The second bottle tonight is same vintage white of South Africa. Lightly colour with green apple and guava fragrances. Only a fly in the wine, a little candy not sweetness... :p — 11 years ago

So good. Tons of texture and nuance supporting bright fruits. — 11 years ago
Toasty, smokey. Old school reds. A little umami/ soy without va. Perfect foil for some home smoked pork ribs. Old vine Mendocino Grenache & Petite Sirah - what John Parducci used to tell me was a great combination to slake hearty pastas or roasted meats. Nice wine. — 12 years ago
Classic steen! Bone dry lemon grass, key lime and grass — 12 years ago
Delicious! Substantially elevated my underwhelming leg of lamb. This Syrah isn’t as gamey as you typically see — more fruit-forward almost like a Cabernet. And (as I always love pointing out) it’s exceptional value for the price. I loved it! — 7 years ago
Reduction upon opening, then pure ethereal slightly dusty fruit. Aroma like drier sheets in a good way, tons of freshness, and the slightest hint of olive. Gorgeous. (I think it is 2014 but I'm not sure -- label states 11,2% ABV). — 9 years ago
Floral, balanced, nice acid — 10 years ago
