We drank the "Earth" variety and liked it slightly better than the "Stars". Both had the same delicacy and understated fruits, but the Earth had a richer mouth-feel. — 10 years ago
Delicious with roasted meat — 10 years ago
Poppin bottles for Christmas. Good Cava, great taste and easy to drink. Floated a couple raspberries in top for the holidays. — 10 years ago
Medium body, smooth, light fruit flavors. — 11 years ago
Seashells, baseball chalk, this Greco is the tousle-haired brother to flinty Chablis from a different father. Wants seafood, camping under the stars, and sexy appetizers with roasted garlic. A delightful wingman to all the fun life asks us to have! — 11 years ago
White Hermitage from one of the rising stars of the Northern Rhone Valley. A great expression of the Marsanne grape. Stonefruit, honey, white flowers with a full and almost lanolin texture on the palatte. A subtly sweet nut butter finish. Only a few dozen cases exported to the US. — 11 years ago

When winemaker Simon Waghorn created his own brand, he chose the name Astrolabe, which is an ancient instrument of navigation that measures the altitude of the stars. Pale straw with grassy citrus notes and floral scents. On the palate peach, tangy citrus and melon flavors with gentle acidity. Medium+ finish ending with bright mineral character. — 8 years ago
New York Prime, Boca, Scuderia Club... Aston Martin driving CPA to the stars MZ concurs; this was simply black grape inky goodness. Wow, this winery never disappoints... — 10 years ago
Med to low acid low tannins. Blackberry currant on the nose ripe berries black licorice and pepper. Smooth stars d finish with gentle length — 10 years ago
I see stars. — 11 years ago
Really enjoyed this wine. Also felt the alcohol pretty quick, not sure if it was the wine or lack of food but either way I give it five stars — 11 years ago
Red berry and earth aromas with soft tannins and a hint of oak — 11 years ago
Exceptional showing at Pappas. Hidden gem on an incredible list of all stars — 11 years ago
This is a Valpolicella blend without Molinara but with some Croatina. Grapes come from volcanic soils of San Briccio Cru, near Mezzane. 2006 is a 4-stars vintage, but here we are at the top peak of quality, awesome wine. — 12 years ago
One of the stars of the Return to Terroir LA portfolio tasting...so good! — 12 years ago
Initially I simply was trying to figure out what hybrid varietal based wine tastes like but after settling into it, I was able to admire it for what it is; a delicious, fresh, juicy acid bound wine that almost could replace some of my go to Tuesday night gluggers. Very excited to taste more. Marquette, Petit Pearl, St. Croix, Sabrevois, Cayuga. — 8 years ago
Wow... very yummy and a surprising texture. Much more smooth and full bodied than I've experienced with a rose. I'm a fan! Yum! — 9 years ago
Delicious full bodied Chardonnay! Just melts in your mouth and invites you to play! Can't wait to have more! Would 100% recommend and drink again. — 10 years ago
Great pizza wine. A hint of RS, good acid, great value for money. No better pinot gris in California — 10 years ago
Really good. The slight fizz gives it a very unique texture/flavour. — 11 years ago
Amazing Merlot!!! Pure pleasure - an extraordinary mix of power freshness and complexity. A masterpiece. Those who know me, know that I don't easily grant 5 stars. But here each star is well deserved!!!
My score 95, drink 2014-2028!
The wine is almost black in color, the nose is seductive and essentially you fall in love with this wine from the first sniff. The aromas are rich and concentrated, plum, black cherry, sweet spices, licorice, coffee, chocolate, blueberry jam and much more. Body is full, chewy, rich intense , rich and extracted, a rare combination of fruit forward and freshness, the tannins are round, smooth and caressing, the light acidity keeps you addicted. The finish is long, and addictive.. Impossible to stop drinking it — 11 years ago
Good blend with a nice oaky smooth finish. Good value wine. — 11 years ago
Ushg, marta 2 stars celebration! Tasted good and yes i was wasted — 11 years ago
Tasted like the stars with Paige and Leslie! — 12 years ago
Tastes in Bordeaux last night. Would give it "4 stars" but want to not be overly biased ;-). Showing beautifully, nice fruit & tannin structure. Clean & elegant finish. — 13 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Had another bottle. Stéphane Ogier is one of Côte Rôtie’s most well-respected stars & looks for concentration in the vineyards and freshness in the cellars. "Le Temps est Venu, ‘the time has come’ for an adventure farther south, with old-vine Grenache and limestone slopes. A blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that comes from the Plan de Dieu and Visan AOCs. Red fruit aromas and pepper spice notes. Sweet raspberry and cherry flavor adding herbs to the mix. Medium length ending with earthy notes. Nice value! — 8 years ago
