Great balance with the tartness and acidity of the raspberries cutting through the sweetness. — 8 years ago
2010 vintage. At La Cabotte in Nuits St George. Medium lemon hue. On the nose, highly concentrated and pure - mineral chalkiness, lemon citrus fruits, purity of aromas. Still very youthful but obviously refined and complex. On the palate, medium acidity, medium plus silky body, medium alcohol. High concentration - almond paste, honeyed and rich without being over whelming or difficult to consume many glasses of it! Long, but not lingering, length. Very refined and elegant. Superb wine. Drink now until 2036. — 9 years ago
Still young tasting. Tight with a gamey flavor and hints of licorice in the finish. A very nice example of a Fine St. George. — 9 years ago
Had the 2012 (can only find the 2012 magnum on Wally's Wine and Spirits Website, and well worth it as it's above and beyond the '13) on our honeymoon in Kauai at the St Regis Kauai Grill. Wonderful wine that barely needs need to breathe and can be pretty much paired with anything. — 10 years ago
The spirits of St. Louis is to St. Louis as 'L' Esprit Des Pavots' is to Les Pavots — 10 years ago
Great for sipping or in multiple cocktails that call for a coffee liqueur. Very nice. — 10 years ago
this is good! Leathery and fruity... Like I would imagine a gay man in San Francisco to want to be. Pretty awesome and I didn't have to listen to any George Michael. So win/win. ... Even though I like me some George Michael. ... I like this wine more than most of his stuff. — 11 years ago
Old George shows the longevity of his wine and the massive vintage potential in 1976 — 8 years ago
My favorite gin to accompany tonic. Without a doubt more effervescent than hendrick's, but would recommend their dry gin for a gin martini. Very floral and delicious, little bit of spice. — 9 years ago

Roses and lychee. This vintage had more citrus pith as well. — 9 years ago
Just what I needed. — 10 years ago
Very bright, very pretty red fruit (raspberry, red cherry) but overripe nor jammy. Lightly spiced, graphitey mineral, light smoke. Very pure. Light-medium bodied, very fresh acidity driving thorough very sour cherry notes, very bright and juicy, similar structure to a decent Nuits St George village wine. Good elegance, lively freshness — 10 years ago
Drier and more robust than this winery's Batteau Red but just as good with smoke and warm fruit flavors that linger. #vawine — 10 years ago
Orange peel citrus spritzer with mint and crystalline honey notes couched in licorice/anise and unrefined sugar nose. Almost gingerbread.this little capuchin monkey drummed on my tongue with his voodoo thigh-bone until it's underside was ringed with sudsy bathtub botanicals.black licorice monkey milk, with citron eyes in vanilla merengue. Mouth tingling residues. — 10 years ago
Kind of profound? I mean, this is kind of a cru nuit st George in disguise. Crazy good. Beats the 2014 by a stretch. — 9 years ago
A stunning new world pinot.... You really should not look for this wine. It's a baby and will last 20 more years.....wow what a wine. This would fool you for a mature burgundy. Definitely nuit st George esque in terms of fruit and masculinity this wine rocked. The folks I was tasting wine wondered if this could pair with steak.... Go figure. — 9 years ago
Towards the end of drinkable life. Pleasantly surprised by how much fruit was left. Great texture. — 10 years ago
