Mouton Vertical dinner. Wow! One of my dream wines to try. This btl came from the cellars of Mahler-Besse collection and was in perfect condition. Ruby red color, sweet ripe red fruits on the nose with eucalyptus, cassis, chocolate mint and exotic spices, had this cola thing going on with soy and caramel. A lovely DRC in the twilight of its drinking years. Upon opening we thought it would fall into the bitter tobacco and soy sauce category but it fell off the knife edge the other way and gave lovely rhubarb, tea notes and sweet tobacco. What a great experience. — 11 years ago
