2022 vintage. Any wine that smells like roses gets my attention. In this case the roses are intertwined with spices, and it is hard to find wines this cheap that smell so nice. A delicious,uncomplicated, spicy and fruity Negrette, with a little tannic bite that can be served slightly cold. Abv. 12,5%. First thing I notice is the golden color. Very floral, white flowers, can smell the green stem of a flower. Smells very hot, with mineral/shell/slate. Also smells sweet, honey suckle, and butterscotch. Must be oaked at least slightly. Tastes hot, high acidity, citrus notes/grapefruit. Very juicy as well, in guava, pineapple, tropical fruits for sure, and green grapes. Also low mouth feel, aka thin, but it is refreshing. I've never tried either of these grapes and really enjoy it.
